Google + Is Still Worthy Of Your Time

Last Update: January 27, 2019

I know what everyone has been saying about Google +, but the real truth is that they are not shutting down all the way. It is still worth sharing our reviews, blogs, and articles on.

Okay, so Google + had a security issue, and the user base was low, this caused Google to put out the report that they were going to disband the Google + platform.

What is going on behind the scenes however is a bit different. Google will give Google + an overhaul. They will no longer be aiming at consumers for the platform, now it will be Entrepreneur driven. That is what I got from the article I read today. Here is the link https://www.engadget.com/2018/10/08/google-shutting-down-goo...

Let me know what your opinion is of this article. I am pretty sure we should be using Google + as a main social platform now especially!

Good to know -- I have been adding to them fairly regularly. Guess I'd better keep doing so. Thanks.

I've been using G+ consistently, regardless of what's happened.

It's a really great way of building a following and getting your posts liked and shared.

I think the more Google sees this kind of engagement happening inside it's own social platform, the more of an impact it will have on our rankings overall. :)

I am glad that I am not the only one that didn't give up on Google+

There are quite a few of us WA'ers still using it :)

It sounds like it’s going to be enterprise driven, so for businesses rather than individuals. It will be a business social platform for enterprises, I’m guessing like yammer and Facebook for business. That’s my interpretation.

That is kind of what I thought too, and that could be good for us here at WA I think.

But I don’t think it will be available to individuals, only corporates I’m guessing.

Not real sure on that, it definitely sounded like it is going to be business oriented.

The way I took it, it looks like it will be more focused on the enterprise level, which in my experience is a large business

I just couldn't see them totally shutting it down and had to research more, and I am glad I did too!

According to the article I read it will be a social platform for businesses, and that is exactly what we are building, so I think it would be smart to keep utilizing it for sure!
