I can't share anything from Wealthy Affiliate to Pinterest. It keeps saying it's spam. It's frustrating.

With Pinterest, all WA links are considered spam.

With my Pinterest account, I can not put any affiliate links on my account. If I try to my Pinterest account freezes up and trust me I tried it several times.

On the other hand, I've heard many bloggers say they do not have a problem placing affiliate links on Pinterest so, I am not sure. What I do know is WA has never been allowed on Pinterest since I've been here.

You will have to use a pretty link. And with Pinterest, they prefer it to come from your website

I can place affiliate links, but not WA ones. Can't pin anything from here either. Sigh. It's part of the training in level four. -_-

Really...see I cant even place affiliate links at all. Pinterest doesnt allow me too. Thats a bummer for me...

I am not sure why WA links are viewed as spam but Google plus didnt like them either.

Did you convert your Pinterest account to a business account? I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but I can add an affiliate link in the description of the pin say if I pinned a screenshot from an app. But yeah, it hates Wealthy Affiliate. Can't share blog posts there at all. -_-

I haven't tried an Amazon affiliate link or anything, it's usually to my website I pin things, but there are occasionally times I want to include a link. And it's a lesson in the training to pin a blog post from here to there.

I'm pretty sure the people who try to abuse the system with spammy links from Wealthy Affiliate got it put in the antispam robot filter. Sigh.

Guess, what Pinterest just let me pin an affiliate link, can you believe that? Yes, I had a converted business account but, what I think it was, and I don't know why this matters but, anyway it worked.

I had to use a different computer. Something must be wrong with my laptop because, from my laptop, I can not add an affiliate link to save my life but when I sued my desktop just now, it worked.

Thank you for sharing that information with me. I think you're right too many people were being spammy and now they might be blacklisted on Pinterest or whatever term they use.

Oh well, I guess...thanks for sharing the Pinterest and affiliate link information I am happy to know this feature works.

You're welcome! At least you can now do it! I'm glad my frustrations with Pinterest blocking WA was helpful for someone.:)

Truth being why would you want to put Aff links of Pinterest anyway?

just because they allow it does not mean that it is best for you to use them there. getting the traffic over from Pinterest to your review is a traffic signal(source of traffic) for Google and aids a little bit in your SEO.

Besides, if they were genuinely interested they would want to read your review, your thoughts about it. Not to mention you have the opportunity of "owning" that traffic by means of grabbing their email address or joining you on social media.

Nothing worse than someone clicking over using your aff link seing a capture page or WA homepage heading off to search for a review clicking that link after reading the review being more informed and joining...with someone elses link....

It's part of the training to share a post or training to Pinterest in level four. Plus to Facebook. And Twitter.

Also, there are many reasons to include an affiliate link that isn't just spamming products or product reviews or getting traffic.

I have a board for my favorite cash back apps. Just a picture and a description with my referral code.

I am in the e-reader niche, so I have fun on Facebook if I come across an ebook sale of a well-known author. Readers love getting a book on sale and readers love seeing deals on Facebook. (I should know, I'm subscribed to 9 ebook deal newsletters, one freebie FB group, and Facebook targets book ads to me from authors and blogs who often use affiliate links).

Any social media platform that has a business purpose allows affiliate links.

It's not about spamming products, or your product reviews, or always about traffic. It's about sharing a good deal, or a good blog post here on WA, etc. Not everything is about product reviews. I often share morning memes with no affiliate links. It's about engaging your audience.

Plus I share people's site posts if I really like them, I share good blog posts from WA if I really like them. That's to one, help other members here. Two, it helps my audience. Three, it helps me. But it's not always about traffic or SEO. Being engaging on Social Media is also a part of building trust.

Many social media platforms don't allow ANY affiliate links including links to Wealthy Affiliate.

Actually they do allow it, but has to be labeled. I'll have to double-check Pinterest rules again, but the only social media platform that says no affiliate links at all is Quora so far.

Actually, outside of Quora, all social media platforms allow them, though it can't be spam and must be labeled as such.

Perhaps they will allow affiliate links if you pay for advertising. Even social media platforms need income.

Or at least Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and I believe Instagram when I checked their rules do.

Nope, not a paid feature. And social media sites make millions just from ads, and people paying for ad spots, nobody gets charged otherwise.

Marion, Pinterest has a love/hate Allow/don't allow/allow again thing going on with affiliate links.

The writing a blog post on the site was seriously slow. Tried multiple devices. But I go here to write comments and it's fine. Even TYPING was lagged bad.Not just spell check

Hey Rochelle,

Our internet provider AND the quality of our computers used to access the internet will determine the speed at which we can work online.

Perhaps you could contact your internet access provider to see if they can offer you better speed.

Hope you find this helpful.

It wasn't the internet speed or computer. I tested other sites, other parts of WA, I switched to my tablet, I restarted devices and cleared my cache. Still, trying to use the blog tool was insanely slow and other tools we're only slightly slow on WA. But editing in WordPress was fine. I've heard other people mention it as well in an aside on someone's blog.
