Hi all. For some reason Pinterest won't accept my WA affiliate link url. It considers it spam or possible inappropiate content.

Any suggestions on how to get around this

One option is to share your website link with WA promotion - I also found another option: share content from WA to your Twitter page and then share your Twitter post with an image to Pinterest :)
Hope it helps!
Zarina

WA has had so many Friends share on Facebook, Pinterest, G+ etc.... that they think the link is spam and generated by robots. The best way to share WA is to publish a page or post about WA on your website then share the Website URL instead. It is also much more user friendly for those that click on it as they are not automatically sent to a page to sign up - Our websites are much more productive. Does this help?

Tony

Excellent advice.

Thank You Marvin

Don't direct link to WA on Pinterest, instead link it to your website.

Same is true for all social media platforms and email marketing. ;)
It's always better to link to your website.

G'Day all.

I've been with WA for around a month now. I've been trying to do my best with creating new content, keywords, etc for my website.

I've been foll

Someone posted a blog earlier today and showed the traffic for some really successful WA people. The graphs showed very little traffic for a number of months, at least 4 or more, then traffic started to spike up steadily into 10,000 or more visitors per month. So, even for some hugely successful people, it takes time and persistence.
So, I wouldn't worry about a month.
Xin

Hi Andrew, you are doing a great job thus far. I would like to see you do more product reviews as well as link between your articles more. This will help you. One month is still pretty early for the website to be ranked high by Google, but trust me, you are planting the seeds right now. Typically in under several months you will get organic traffic.

Thanks Vitaliy

great comment Paul :)

Hey Andrew
It takes a little time to drive traffic to your site, Nichole gave you excellent advice, so I won't repeat.
Your site has a nice comfortable feel when first landing, kudos
However there was lots of advertizing, and for unrelated products. I found myself wondering, what is he promoting, where can I find shaving items?
Also, I noticed you have 2 share bars, one at the center of your page the other at the bottom. Have you considered a fixed vertical share bar, which stays visible as you scroll down the page. Share bars do affect page loading time, and every fraction of a second counts.
Have you checked your page loading time, this can greatly affect traffic staying on your site.

Again, be patient and keep tweaking and adding content., you're on the right track :)
Hope this helped
Joseph

Thank you very much for your advice Joseph. Is there a plugin you'd recommend for the share bar you mentioned? Thank you

Don't be discouraged. So far the only traffic I get has been from the give and take comment threads. They've helped my site health but as so far no organic traffic. I've seen a lot of people say the more content there is the better the site will be and essentially gain ranking. You have to build trust with Google before it will rank you well.

Have you checked to see where your site is ranking on google? If you aren't on the first or second pages that could be why you aren't getting traffic. It could also be that your keywords just don't get enough searches per month to show any progress in the one month.

I've been going at this about two months and it is certainly a process. Don't give up. Get some analytics set up, share your on the give and take comments thread, build some more content and most importantly give it time.

Thank you. None of my posts seem to be ranking well yet. I'm very new to all this. Maybe I do need some more time.

Hi guys

I've gone to the "request feedback" site to get some feedback on my website, but the dropdown box doesn't show my site as an option? Please help

Have you offered any comments to others yet?

Yes I have Jozeph

Hi Andrew, this drop down box, is it actually the request feedback page or is it the site comments page?

Its in the Comments page within site rubix

I'm confused Andrew, if this is inside your website, there isn't supposed to be a drop down box. The ONLY place there's a drop down box to get comments and check them is in Site Comments on WA.

Sorry Vitaliy. To clarify I go to SiteRubix ---> comments ---> request comments. A drop down box then asks Select the site you would like comments on. My website is not displaying as an option to click on.

Ah ok, so it is site comments you're talking about, a feature in WA. First you have to offer comments and get credits before you can request comments be given to you. it's 2 comments given out for 1 comment you get in return.

Just copy and paste link to your site in the box and your site should come up,

Thanks, but the dropdown box under "request comments" Isn't allowing me to paste anything. Maybe something to do with my settings somewhere?

Hi. I haven't finished my first website yet and have a question.

If I want to look at making an income from a blog, is reviewing a particular product a good way to go? A

Yes! Do review Andrew and not just one, but ANY that are in your niche.

Thanks very much Vitally.

No problem!

Yes... Doing reviews of products on a targeted niche (group of people looking for that kind of stuff) is how you will earn money... but you can also have articles that talk about how to do specific things in that niche that people want to know... not just reviews

You should target both kind of keywords...

Yes you do it on the same website but on different pages or posts. I think you have the right approach.

Thank you for your help.

You're welcome
