I have suddenly started getting some messages through my content page on my new site. I am of course delighted as this means my articles are probably getting traffic now.

BUT as we all know all these messages so far have just been spam, so I was wondering about deleting the contect form from my page and just having information where people can find me such as Facebook, Twitter and Wealthy Affiliate.

Will this hurt my SEO ?

Any thoughts please :)

It won't hurt your SEO per say, but Google expects a site to have a Contact Us page, so if you take it off, it will hurt you that way.

Just deal with the Spam. When you don't respond, eventually they stop. Perhaps add a Captcha requirement.

Not going to lose the actual page just the contact form. A captcha could resolve this issue... Thanks

Yeah, Google will look for the form or some way to contact you. So glad the Captcha will work!

The way I do it. I no longer use a contact form.

On my contact me page, I invite my readers that if they have any applicable comments or questions on my content to email me at xxxxx at jjddjdjjd dot com. By sending me an email, you agree with my Privacy Policy.
(Privacy policy wording is linked to my privacy page)

So far that is working for me. My privacy policy has a few comments about what I do with what I consider spam email which is not reply to it and delete it.

I'd have said no, because, its a contact form and doesn't form part of any content, assuming that the contact form is not part of a post, which asks the reader to subscribe or contact you

That was my thoughts, no its just a stand only page which I will be keeping but have links to my Facebook Twitter pages and Wealthy Affiliate Profile.
