Last year, I used several free rank checkers to monitor positions of my posts. In my mind, once my free trial of Jaaxy expires and I still can't afford the premium, I will have some free tools handy.

Then, a strong storm wiped me out of Wealthy Affiliate. My account was cancelled due to non-payment (which I will not let happen again), and my site, too. Deleted.

Almost one year have passed, these free tools are still reporting to me via email the performance of my keywords and posts with the old site.

In one of the emails, they said a post of mine is still ranking at Position 38 and even gained two notches up! (*shocked*)

Why is this happening? If Google is so intelligent like most of us fear it is, why can't they know this site is already dead and de-index the site?

Or perhaps, there's just something that I don't know yet, or doesn't understand yet. Can you help me by commenting below?

Google hasn't deindexed your site yet. How long has this site been "down" for? Typically Google will deindex a website within a few weeks, a month at the latest (typically).

Hi Kyle, thanks for coming in. Is there a way I can request Google to de-index my site? I want it de-indexed because, it's a trace of my past failure. That I lost a site in the past.

Try visiting the site. If it was ranked someone may have purchased it.

I tried visiting the site from the Google search results, and this is where I landed... (already deleted by WA)

With those rankings, do you have a backup of it and can you purchase it again? It would be nice if you could. Maybe WA has a backup of it.
