There is quite a bit of information that can clog the system.

What I want to know is this:

If you use Yoast: Why did you choose this one?

And if you use a different one, name it and answer the same question, Why do you use that particular one.

Thanks,

Rudy

Hi Rudy
I used Yoast before joining WA because they were no1 on a “best SEO tool” review.

With my first WA site I inherited AIOSEO and began to see some members talking about RankMath (in particular someone whose technical knowledge I learned to respect). So I put it on a test site.

The SEO tools are competitive. Regularly updating to stay ahead of each other as well as keeping up with Google etc.

But they all, essentially, provide the same services in different ways. So best is mainly personal preference.

Currently I’m using RankMath because I like their UI for posts. It sits on the right hand side so I don’t need to scroll up and down to see results of changes.

Before WA talked about SEO Framework I was already considering trying that out because it is relatively newer and light weight. I will wait to see what the WA implementation is before trying that out.

Having said that, although SEO tools are useful especially for beginners as a measuring stick (the tools mostly make no direct difference to SEO results). The more I learn about SEO the less I am dependent on the tools.

I love using Yoast Rudy. It has taught me so much over the years. I find the reminders help and enjoy getting all green lights.

Was thinking about using yoast, let me know how it goes for you. And I have clogged a few things but never the system. Haha. Maybe I should try to clog that next. Hehe.

An info overload.. grin.

Yeah, I may write something about yoast, a step by step process from setup to 30 days of use.

I've always used AIOSEO. I've seen that Jay has mentioned that they will be migrating to a new default SEO tool - The SEO Framework plugin to be exact. I know there was a Premium Plus live class on how to migrate over to it.

Though, I'm not sure if/when it will be moved over as the default for current/new members. Yoast is used a lot, Rank Math I've also heard of a decent bit. I suppose it comes down to which one you understand the most/the most comfortable with.

AIOSEO has helped me out a lot, though I haven't dived into all of the new features that they have built over the years. It seems they're going in a direction of trying to monetize most of their features. I stick with the freebies! :)

Thanks...I haven't decided how I'm going to approach the seo factor...I'm running some tests and have heard good things about yoast.

Oh, yeah, and the free or next level versions of most things are sufficient...

Getting ranked mainly comes down to having more thorough and helpful content than the competitors for any given keyword. Getting ranked is mainly dependant on that, rather than what tool(s) you are using, in my opinion. Though, it's definitely helpful to find a SEO tool that you can get familiar with and is easy to use, so I wish you luck in finding the one that suits you best!

I've never had any troubles with AIOSEO, I just don't like the commercialization of the plugin that they've recently introduced. But all of the stuff they provide for free is all you need, really.

All of my seo plugins are deactivated for the time being. Going on an old theory of mine. Am curious about Yoast.

Hey
I use the one that came with my WordPress installation (aioseo). What do you mean by "clog the system"
Thank you.

Yeah...I should have clarified that...grin..

Clog the system referred to 'information overload'...lol. And not a reflection on any SEO tool.
