Actually, Triblu, Trish, offered up a link that explains how to create the tracking ID.

I know that in using Elementor, I can add a tracking ID, but I had never used them , had no reason to. Yet to see one on the WA referral tracking, I figured that the link must originate on the post page, so that when someone signs up from that page, the tracking number is used.
However, the page is named already, I can see where someone clicked on my pages, without using a numeric ID.

All in a days work...grin.

The tracking ID identifies that the click/sale came from you versus any other affiliate in the program. It's what ensures you are properly awarded your commission for any sale which occurs. Without it neither the merchant nor affiliate network would know who generated the sale, so always make sure that you don't change it in any way, shape or form! That includes changing its location in the affiliate link which the network gives to you.

Thanks, Jeanine.

There is a campaign name that shows from whence it came, however, the ID number is blank, and I wasn't sure where that number comes from.

The video link that Triblu provided above in her reply, appears to fit the bill for answering my question..

Okay, I don't have enough information from your question or your response to be able to comment or to know if that video is really what you need. Good luck!

Thanks. I took a screenshot, but in the ask a question format, there is no way to paste the image, which would have made things much easier to display and explain...grin.

I took a quick look at the video when I bookmarked it for later. It seems to answer my question.

Thanks, Jeanine.
