Hi folks. I'm interested in what I can change in the posts I've already posted. The problem is that I didn’t know how to research keywords before. and some of my first texts are not well optimized. Now I wonder if I can change them. The content of the text would remain the same only I would use other keywords and optimize it better. Is it worth it.

As long as you do not tinker with the permalink the indexing will remain. Everything you do may cause tremors in the Ranking force.

Ok. Thank you for your reply. Can I do this on posts that are not indexed yet?

You can add more information and make corrections, as it will add to the quality of the post and not affect indexing. But hopefully it will increase ranking.

Thank you for your reply. I don’t need to change the post much. Rather, I wanted to change the title and the keyword I used. Because I used a keyword that is used a lot and has a small number of searches. I didn’t know how to research keywords back then. Now I wonder if it’s smart to do it or not. Because that post is poorly ranked and doesn’t bring me any benefit because people don’t find it. But on the other hand, the content of the post is good.

Hi you can edit all except changing the URL.

If the URL changes, to Google it is a new post.

I don’t mind that google will look at it as a new post. I still have no use for it for now because I have poorly optimized it and it doesn’t bring me any reviews at all. And could something be wrong if I change the URL? Because if I change the titles and subheadings AIOSEO will warn me that I don't have a keyword in the URL. This will be if I enter a new keyword. Which is better in that case? Change all or do not touch the URL.

Great then, you can update the whole thing, but down the line when your post is indexed and ranked, and you are wanting it edited, it is important then not to change the URL because you'd lose your ranking status with the search engines.

Hope that makes sense.

Makes sense. It's just that some of the posts I wrote first are poorly ranked. So I hope I don’t lose a lot. I didn’t know much about on page optimization before. And if I change everything and leave the old URL will it help with better ranking on google? Thank you so much for the answers.

It would be better just to start a new post than to try and totally overhaul a sucky post.

Keep in mind some posts won't rank till 35 weeks later, so as long as you have covered your target keyword, your content original delivering high impact copy and conveys a clear message, I'd leave it. Unfortunately not all posts will rank. Some may not at all.

Hope this will clear things up for you.
