Ho all,
I have a problem which has thrown me through a hoop because I never noticed it before.
In my 'settings' 'reading' section I have my website set to blog roll. However, it's giving me the option to tick a box about 'not indexing this site'!! What does this mean please? Are they talking about no index to the whole website? Or, just the homepage blog roll?? I'm so confused because why would you tick that box? And should I no index my homepage blog roll for duplicate content reasons? Is that why the option is there?

Thanks so much :-)

Hi, is this related to Search engine visibility

Discourage search engines from indexing this site
It is up to search engines to honor this request.

If so, you are asking the search engines not to index your site.

Yes, I believe it is. If you go to 'settings' then 'reading' you will see what I mean. It's not clear whether it's just talking about the Homepage, considering that's the theme of that whole section. It's quite confusing. Maybe you could go into yours and see what I mean? I don't understand why it's even in that bit because when I write a post in general I don't have these setting ticked at the bottom of my blog posts.

Thanks so much :-)
