I am still working on understanding SEO and here is my question. When I publish a new post and go to WordPress to edit it, below my post is the SEO section and I put my Meta title in and also my keywords for that particular post. I do not add the title because the Title of the post is already showing in the box. On the particular one I am looking at at the moment, it says below the title, "39 characters. Most search engines use a maximum of 60 chars for the title."
I click Update and gp to All Posts and the Meta title is showing under SEO Description, and the Keywords are showing under SEO Keywords but there is no title showing under are there but there is no Title under SEO Title.
If I go back to the Post and insert the Title in the Title Bar it then says "79 characters. Most search engines use a maximum of 60 chars for the title." and then when I go back to the All Posts the Title is showing in the SEO Title.
Am I doing something wrong?

Sonny

So it looks like now I need to go back and delete all of the ones that I have added to SEO Title, Description and Keywords.

Personally Sonny, I would leave well enough alone and SEE for yourself if leaving them empty works best for you.

Then you can decide if you need to actually remove those you have completed. Some sites I have used the fields in the All In One SEO plugin. I'm finding it an advantage in those sites where I have completed the META Description fields.

Everyone has their own ideas as to what works best.
