Metrics I would look at in Jaaxy keyword tool are

For a brand new website you are looking for:
Avg: >30
QSR: <50
SEO: >95

For a maturing website you are looking for:
Avg: >100
QSR: <100
SEO: >90

For an established website you are looking for:
Avg: >200
QSR: <200
SEO: > 85

It will be hard starting out to compete with authority websites, however, eventually, your site would mature bit by bit, and you'd be potentially able to reach out to worth using.

Hi - I see that you were asking about how to recognize an Authority Site. Every website has a search engine ranking score between one and 100.

It predicts how likely it is that a website is going to rank highly in the search engine results pages. The higher the Domain Authority (DA) score, the better.

I use a couple of Chrome extensions that show me the Authority score of a website (and other useful stuff). They are Keyword Surfer and Ubersuggest.

See the screenshot below, using an example related to your interests. The top results on the page all have a DA of 85/86, so realistically, you are not going to beat them.

But if you look further down the results page, there are some sites that have a lower DA. Eventually, as your own DA increases, you could beat them.

Thanks I’ll download those chrome extensions. So as long as let’s say just a few have a high da then I guess it’s safe to use the keyword

What is considered a high da?

Which extension are you using for that screenshot?

There is no definitive answer really, as it can depend on the niche. The more competitive a niche, such as weight loss, then the higher domain authority you will need to see much success.

But with smaller less competitive niches, then you could be considered an authority at only 25.

You might be interested to know that Wealthy Affiliate has a DA of 56, having been in existence since 2005.

You can use this tool to see what your own DA is, and if you scroll down below the results, it will show you what your top competitors are scored, based on your niche.

Thanks so I guess the best thing is to not pick keywords that are flooded with articles that have a very high domain. And to just keep writing and writing

I looked it up I only have 4 lol. But one of my competitors is a 45. I actually used moz the other night. I typed in his domain phuket101.net. So I believe I can beat him in a year

Have a read of Partha's latest post, he talks about how to beat a site with a high DA.

Thanks I was reading his stuff yesterday he is very helpful and very smart. Im gonna read the rest of his articles today. I downloaded uber suggest. I noticed that lower domain sites are beating the higher ones. That’s a big relief for me.

Then put into jaxy?

Yes, you can try putting it into Jaaxy. Sometimes questions may not show well in Jaaxy but they are what people are looking to find answers for.

Ok I’ll find keywords around them. But I was thinking just to use the keywords that have authority on page one anyway because as long as I’m writing quality I’m gaining authority and soon google will see that.

You can do so and get indexed, but don't be surprised if their ranking is low.
