Is it ok to have an affiliate image link in the sidebar widget? Will it affect post rankings?

Unless deactivated, the sidebar shows up on every post and page. So if that's what you want, go for it.

Yes, it will show up on each post even your informational posts.

Hi - its fine, but on mobile, anything on your sidebar goes to the bottom of the homepage, so you are relying on your visitors scrolling a long way down.

Are you affiliated with the program, you may read up on their terms and conditions what is allowed and what not.

Not necessarily effect ranking.

Yeah, I am affiliated with the program, and they are ok to post it there. I remember one class mentioned not sticking affiliated links on every post. But if I have it on my sidebar, it will show on every post. That's why I am asking if that's ok for rankings or not.

In the sidebar it will be sitewide. As long as you can it will be fine.
