Hi everyone,

I have followed Robert's (boomer) tutorial to submit some posts to Google to be crawled, but one post always comes back with the message "not found"

The particular post is published and visible in my blog roll.

Any suggestions maybe ?

Thanks

Well it looks like you have some good answers here.

I wonder if the title of your post was a Freudian Slip!

Hi Theuns, if you put a link to the problem page I can try and 'fetch as Marion' for you. ~Marion

See if it is has been indexed by typing this in the Google Search Bar.

site:your domain name for that page

Make sure there are no spaces between "site" : and your domain name.

If your page does not appear then it was never indexed and you may have a sitemap error for that particular page.

Yay... a nice way to confirm... I may be new at this... but i enjoy confirmation that what I have learned and what I am doing... is making progress. I entered my site:My domain name and got 2 pages of results

Hey Robert,
Thanks for your participation.
I did as you instructed and found the particular page/post on the result page.
Tried the "fetch" trick again, but again got "not found"
I am just gonna ignore it for a while and see what happens.
Have a great day/night wherever you are.

If you don't get your answer here try googling "fetch as Google not found error" or something like that. I had a different error message and did this and found a page that had explanations for all kinds of errors and some troubleshooting. I didn't bookmark the website or I would have shared it with you.

Whenever I've seen "not found" I resubmitted it until it was found. Sometimes 3 or 4 times but it eventually worked.

Thanks for your response Steve.
I tried it twice, but now I will do it several more times.
