I watched setting up google search console by kyle
When I went into my theme editor to add the code in the header section - I couldn't find the The Theme Header in the Theme file section. I am using a genesis pro theme. I just don't where to look for the header section

Hey Richard,
If you are adding a link that only needs to be included briefly you could add it to your theme's header.php file.
However, codes like Google verification and tracking NEEDS to remain ON your website, so you should be using the following for those types of codes: Why Use Headers and Footers Plugin Theme header.php files become overwritten with EACH and EVERY update your theme goes through, which would remove ANY additional coding that you may add to their header file.

I followed Kyles video and Jays but I am no nearer to getting my site verified. I got stuck with the Header as my website is not wordpress but a Genesis Pro so I could not find the header section. i am at a total loss what to do but i wont give up yet nor will I grab the whiskey bottle !!!

When I just started, I was very frustrated because I could not set up Google console
Now, I am confident in doing so
You said the main problem was adding the code into your website?
I add my code in AIOSEO. I clicked general settings and then webmaster tools
You will then see Googke Console logo
Click it and below there will be a space for you to put your code in
Do so and then click save
I always refresh my screen and then ho back to Google console website to validate.
It should go through OK.
