Click Through Rate is the metric term in Digital Marketing that measures the number of click throughs or opens that you get on an email sent to subscribers or a click on a call to action button or call to action link in an article which might say: 'Click Here Now' or 'Get Yours Now' or 'Buy Now'.

So to improve the click through rate here are some suggestions:

- Have an interesting shaped call to action button if you want them to click through to a product or service you are promoting
- give the call to action button a good. Color e.g. green or blue
- Write a clear call to action on the button
- keep the call to action button 'above the fold' i.e. within the screen view of a mobile device or laptop so you see it clearly and don't leave it for the viewer to have to scroll down to see the call to action button
- let a call to action link in an article or blog be clearly instructed e.g. 'go here to learn more'
- don't put too many call to action buttons or links in the article or website
- for email: create interesting titles for your emails to 'hook' the subscriber and get them curious enough to click the email link and read the email

Hope this helps.

Wishing you success

I see that you have three websites. Usually, a website will be considered ah authority website by google once it hits around 100 posts and then starts gaining rank in the search engines. If your posts aren’t making it to page 1 in the search engines you won’t have people clicking. It’s always best to focus on one site and get your blog numbers up so that people will see your posts on page one to be able to click on them first before moving on to other blogs. Best of luck.

CTR: Are you ranking well?
What position are you?
Are you asking them to click?
What words are you Using?
Is your meta enticing enough for them to click?

What are your competition doing that's causing your potential visitors not to click through to your site?

Can they see your link? Are you giving away too much that there is no need to click through?

These are some things to look into to make sure you are covering all bases.

And one more thing...

Go get them to CT to your offer!!

"Are you giving away too much that there is no need to click through?"

This is extremely important! I can't tell you how many times I've done a search, and got all the info I needed just by their introduction in the search engine, and never clicked their link.

I would think to myself, how in the world do they get click through's, but they ranked at the top, so I guess some people do want to read more. I haven't done it though!:D

Great thought provoking questions!

Peace,
Josette

There are a lot of unknowns that make it very difficult to answer this question - do you mean low click-through rate from the search engines onto your website? Or do you mean low CTR on your affiliate links once people are on your website?

And what do you mean about low (what are the numbers) and where do you have these numbers from?

Because sometimes if people are not used to looking at stats for websites what they think is low might not even be low.

Then it is the headline you should mainly look at. But before that you need to make sure to follow all the SEO that is taught here on WA to make sure you even show up at the top of the search engines.
