I've recently updated a couple of blogs in the light of additional training and more research into keywords etc, how often can I apply the google fetch tool on my pages and post?

Like Patsy I fetch a new post and after updates. Sometimes I don't bother after updates since I know it will happen eventually anyway, but always after I write a new post.

It's a tool in Google WebMaster Tools (now called Google search console) that recrawls through your website and reindexes it.....I think - correct me anyone please if I am wrong.

Should we use this on our web site from time to time?

Read some of the comments below - some people recommend it every time you publish something new - others say that waiting is ok as Google will eventually recrawl the site anyway. I have summised that it depends on how much you think your new post/page will increase your ranking.

I do one when I publish a new article/post or when I update one.

If you don't do a fetch, the Googlebot will get to it anyway.

When I first started we weren't doing this. I didn't know what fetch even meant until I saw it in a blog post!
