Hello, Just a question but I have some 404 not found pages I'd like to request removal for. Does anyone know how to do this - is it the request temporary removal tool in Google search console?

Are these pages indexed in Google? If so, they will eventually be removed so I wouldn't panic about that (as Google will see your sitemap and remove them).

If you are visiting a page that doesn't exist, a 404 page should show up. That is what you want, as this a page that people will visit if they accidentally type in a wrong page, or if you remove a page from your website that is indexed somewhere.

Thanks Kyle I have sorted it now I think. I requested temporary removal for all pages that refer to content no longer on my website. With the rest I have just got Yoast SEO premium which offers the option to set up redirects.
