I've been looking at making my site more mobile friendly after running it through the mobile tester from Google search console. There seems to be some conflicting information about whether to just change the theme or to install a plugin.
What is your experience of doing either please before I mess things up completely?!! Thanks.

Thanks Mike - will take a look. I think one of my sites is fine but the other one is using the Twenty Ten theme which I love, but I think I'll have to update it anyway. ,

Actually one of the ways I made my site more user friendly was to compress my pictures that I use on my website.

Hi,
I used the plugin, but it made my site really slow. So I changed the whole theme altogether. Look for themes that are accessibility ready, which are also better mobile friendly. I liked that better than having to install a plugin.

I hope this helps,

Very helpful yes. Thanks - I'm a bit wary of plugins as other people seem to have variable experiences too.
