Just noticed my bounce is at 68%. The Russian traffic is down but Brazil is higher than usual. I know some people say that bounce is just a stat and others worry about it. Opinions please

A high bounce rate should only be a concern if you're trying to get a visitor to another page on your site.

If someone lands on your page/post and spends 5 minutes reading the post, then clicks on your affiliate link or any link leading them away from your site. This is counted as a bounce.

It's also a bounce if they close browser or hit the back button.
Referral spam can also cause high bounce.

If you don't exclude your own IP address, you could visit your own site several times a day and visit multiple pages which would skew the results. That's why Google doesn't pay attention to them.
Rather that focusing on bounce rate, focus on "behavior flow" and learn how to create more effective call to actions to get your visitors to your money pages.

I like your answer steveo5770, can you elaborate on behavior flow? I would like to know what that is for my bounce rate is also very high 73% and how can I fix this?

Actually, I'm thinking about creating a training for this. I'll send you a PM either way.

I had a similar "jump" like that many months ago. It was quite low, then took a big jump, where it's basically remained and held steady...for many months now.

"Bounce rate" isn't necessarily the end-all measure of your site's content. A lot of things can skew it even if you're getting quality visits. This article helps explain some of that.
