Bitly - Get some hidden engagement stats for your shortened URLs!

I just thought I'd share a handy and little known tip that you can all benefit from when using the Bitly.com URL shortening tool.
To get engagement analytics for that URL, simply add a "+" to the end of the shortened URL and, hey presto, some handy basic stats about the engagement of the shortened URL link appear. They're not extensive stats, but there's some useful info in there such as number of clicks, time of clicks, referrers, location, etc. Note though that you need to be logged into Bitly.com to see most of this stuff, otherwise you only see the number of clicks data. But it's free to open an account, so there's no cost involved.
Another useful thing to keep in mind is that you can also use this handy tip to look at your competitors' stats. Simply copy their shortened URLs and add the "+" as detailed above. Of course, they can also do the same with yours too, but as not many people realise that this can be done, the risk is small.
