New Content Going Up. Finally

Health Updates First

They sent mom home because they need the beds for people who are in worse shape, so even though she still isn't eating and is still having fairly severe symptoms and is still positive, she was sent home to be cared for by my 76 year old father who has Prostate Cancer.

His last Covid Test was negative, but now that he's caring for Mom fulltime, I don't expect that to last. Everyone that visited them in the past few weeks is being isolated and should have their tests done in the next week. I think that is my neice and her partner, my nephew, and maybe my brother. I'm sure the isolation and contact issues extend to everyone living with them as well, but I don't know the specifics of all that.

Content Updates

My own health issues and mom's Covid diagnosis meant that I went 6 days in a row without posting any content, so out of 21 days, I've only managed to post on 11 of them. I finally got an article up today, but it's hard to focus on this while I'm still worried about both Mom and Dad.

As of right now, I am at 18,311 words posted this month, so there is no way I'm making my 60k goal for words posted, and that's ok. You aren't going to reach every goal you set if you set worthy goals. I do expect to get about 30k words up though since I have about 13,500 words written that need editing and I have a few other articles still in that starting state where all I really have is a bunch of bullet points and a few notes and urls for research.

I'm hoping I can get about 5k to 10k words written and posted from there. If I managed 10k there, and if in my editing I can expand the other pieces by about 10% each, that would give me about 25k more to post this month total. Realistically, With what I have I'm already going to hit 30k, anything else I can get written will be a bonus.

Article Split Update

I'm already seeing the pages I've split off showing up in the SERPs, they are deep though, like page 6 and beyond right now, but they are there. Based on what I've seen so far, I've gained about 14 extra page views this month from that change and it has only been 11 days. Next month should show some real benefits from what Ive done.

One of the biggest benefits though has been the speed increase for one of my most important pages. The loss of some of the content from it hasn't seemed to hurt it much, there was a slight drop in the SERPs for the main keyword for that page, but it's a keyword I wasn't supposed to be competitive on for a long time anyway.

The fact that I was on page 7 before was incredible, and the fact that I'm on page 8 shows that the Wealthy Affiliate system works. I took half the content from that page and made two other articles and I'm still within striking distance of getting on the first page in a few months for a keyword that had QSR of 189 and others.

My change on some of the other keywords for the page actually went UP, not by much, but I was still shocked. I'm going to try and do some additional optimization on the main page and the two other pages I split off for the keywords I'm hoping to rank for on each.
