I have heard this enough but I don't understand why exactly. To make yourself an authority, ya I get that. My question is more along the lines of behind the scenes. Like if you
Hi. You are right of course about becoming an authority. As you complete your posts and find more low hanging fruit feel free to expand your niche or maybe a better way to put it is to create another niche.
Just keep in mind to be THE authority on whatever you post about. The reason to keep narrow with the niche is to come across as an expert and to attract a focused group of customers. Most people are searching for specific information. It's a great benefit to have more than one niche if they are related...As you know to draw a more diverse audience.
Best of luck with your business
Why does it matter if a niche is too broad?

Yes, jumping around shows you have no authority which will result in no rankings. It also will get overwhelming really fast even if you feel like you can handle things right now. I went from doing 3 sites, then two, and focused completely on one, which is very much along the lines of being too broad. Make sense Sam?
