What NOT to do as a WA member!

Hey Newbies! My name is Shirley and I've been a member of WA since the Fall of 2014. A Premium member that is. I've learned a lot but have not reached my financial goals. This is through no fault of WA, but its all on me.
I'd like you guys and gals to do better than I have, so I'm sharing some of the things I did wrong:
Rules I broke (or rather suggestions from those who have succeeded):
Rule 1. Work through the training, keep on working through it, implementing each step. Do not STOP. I stopped several times because of health reasons, some times for months at a time. It was unavoidable due to my health but then I would not start again and work steadily when I could.
Rule 2. Work on only ONE site at a time. This one I broke badly and repeatedly. I loved creating sites and liked it so much that I created several at one time and tried to work on ALL of them. That make it take even longer until I could start monetizing even the first one and took up all my time.
Rule 3. Create content, and then create more content and then repeat. I was not brave with creating my content and was lucky to get one post a week created (when I WAS working on my sites). You really need to create at least 3 posts each week on each site. Do not dilute your efforts.
Rule 4. Create quality content, long content. Most of my posts were below 1000 words. You should try to create quality content of 2000 or more words. Creating product reviews and "best of" and "top 10" helps you create longer posts and both will draw more traffic to your site.
Rule 5. If you are doing a bootcamp site, create a great, long worded WA review and then create posts that point to that review over and over. The review is kinda like your "sales letter" that you can use over and over.
Rule 6. Don't forget to "monetize" your site. I was a member for over 2 years before I started adding any affiliate links to my sites.
Rule 7. Finish ALL of the training before you expect success. Implement EVERY step.
Rule 8. Follow the top 100 ranked members and read and study what they have to say
Rule 9. Visit the WA community and contribute but don't neglect your own training and website first. WA rank doesn't make you a success, a completed, monetized website with traffic will make you successful.
Rule 10. Don't give up. If you get off track, STOP, figure out what you have done wrong and start again, doing the right things. Keep working, patiently until you see success.
So there are my rules and advice to all you newbies.

Great Post Shirley.
I've been a member since 2016 and failed to take concrete action until about six weeks ago. I hadn't even finished Level 2 until then.
It's easy to become discouraged and for real-life to get in the way but you have to keep at it, keep publishing, knowing that you'll get there.
I love the generous members here that have shared their success stories as it's partly what keeps me focused now.
Yea I have 2 websites myself, I spend more time on my main one but I am trying to keep them both going.
great points, i also am struggling to find time to create content but we all must stick with it and work hard!! the rewards will come - thanks for sharing!
Excellent advice!!! I'm guilty of creating multiple sites at once... Didn't work out so well, lol
Yep, so much fun creating those sites, but until they have lots of great content and are monetized and have lots of traffic, you will not make money. Better to stick with one site and do it right until you start making money with it.
yes, take this advice and a year from now you will probably be making money, unlike my 3 years here. The only way I have really made money is by creating sites for others - so far.
