What I have learned in 5 years with Wealthy Affiliate!
Affiliate Marketing knowledge
I have been a premium member of Wealthy Affiliate for over five years now and at this point I'm doing a self assessment of my progress.
I have completed the entire online certification training and almost all of the bootcamp training (I'm kinda lollygagging on it). I have completed a lot of Kyles special super affiliate training too. I can say definitely that the training is awesome - I have learned so much from all this training. I'm stil working on watching all of Jay's live video training which is so very informative and helpful - Jay is a true jewel and full of help and knowledge to success online.
I have created over 20 blog sites. Some for my personal affiliate marketing business and some for clients. They are all hosted here "free" as part of my premium membership.
Have I achieved success?
- I can say that I have successfully sold affiliate products and earned commissions. Not as many as I would like. But I think in ratio to the number of blog posts I have created, about the correct amount.
- I can say I have successfully created nice blogsites for clients using what I have learned about how to use WordPress. I would enjoy doing a few more too.
- I have gotten WA Premium referrals also from my WA promotional site but they did not stick it out.
- I have "followed" some of the most successful members of WA and read their posts to learn much of what they share.
- I try each day to log into the community help someone out.
- I've been in the top 50, top 100 and top 200 many times in WA rankings. I'm now ranked at 122. I've been a WA ambassador.
- I have learned a lot about creating blog posts, selecting keywords and SEO (search engine optimization).
- I have learned a lot about using social media to market my blog sites. I used to only have Facebook acounts, and now I have Facebook/Twitter/Linkedin/Pinterest/Instagram accounts and I learn more about how to use them each day.
- I have learned how to create an email subscription list and optin forms for my blogsites. I've used several email autoresponders (Mailchip, Aweber and Getresponse). I have learned how to create an ebook to offer to email subscribers to entice them to sign up for my mail list. I've also learned how to ceate and send emaill newsletters.
- I could go on and on about how much I've learned about using Wordpress and the various cool plugins, but enough of that - I'll just say I can become a Wordpress guru from what I've been learning here. I've used various software to create websites in my IT career, but WordPress is definitely the best and easiest I have used. I can't say enough about how great it is.
- For over three years now, I've been paying the least possible for my WA Premium Membership fees (regular $49/month) and pay only $25/month because I took advantage of the November "Black Friday Special" Kyle and Carson so graciously have offered. Now I'm locked in at that special low-pricing for as long as I stay a Premium Member. Thank you so much guys.
- Speaking of Kyle and Carson, I can't say enough good about these guys. They ROCK with the help they give to WA members - the constant upgrading of the platform features, the new and updated training offered and even personal one-on-one help to members.
What's my plan now?
- My plan for the rest of 2020 is to complete both the Super Affiliate training and the bootcamp training,
- Watch many more of Jay's live training videos,
- Work only 2 of my sites so my efforts are not diluted,
- Create many, many more blog posts for those two sites,
- Set up email sequences for my email subscribers,
- Create my first "funnel" using GetResponse,
- Learn more about using Pinterest and Instagram to attract visitors to my sites,
- Create my first Youtube marketing video.
- Target visitors who want to learn to blog and do affiliate marketing to visit my WA promotional site.
- Target visitors who want to shop and read about Bella Vista activitieson my Mall blogsite.
- Add more good stuff to my private Facebook Group for my Premium Referrals.
Goals
I'm setting these new goals:
- Increase website traffic to 1000 visitors a month on both sites.
- Get more Premium Member Referrals and help them achieve success too.
- Up my monthly earnings to $1000/month by the end of 2020.
Conculsion
I love being a premium member of WA and I would love to help others to achieve online success via blogging and affiliate marketing. I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate's online training platform and its large, helpful community.

You're ahead of me by a little more than 2 years, and reading your post was affirming for me. I kinda slowed way down this past year and my lack of traffic shows it, but with effort and consistancy, I know I can change that for the better.

See! Giving up was not an option-right? Glad to see this post in a positive light. Congratulations, Shirley. You did a lot more than I did in just one year of being here. Cool, for 5 years as a member this is truly an achievement. You have listed all those accomplishments in spite of your being limited physically like I am. You are to be commended. Now if you can do it, I can do it. This gives me a lot of hope. Thank you.

Nice post and I know you will finish what you started 5 years ago.
Take care of your health, especially the Type 2 diabetes. As you worked for the FDA for 33, I worked making insulin for diabetics for most of my working career.
You are a very active person and you apparently let little get you down, except for the pain from your bad back and fibromyalgia. You are an inspiration to so many of the WA and we look forward to more posts and another training post.
