I joined Quora

I'm just learning about Quora. So I signed up and started looking around. I'm finding it very interesting and and realizing that as I read the questions and answers that I want to answer many myself about certain subjects. Its been fun and I'm finding out I know more than I realized about some things.

I'm also finding ways to answer questions helpfully and then include a link to my posts or my website. I'm going to watch my analytics more closely and see if this increased my traffic.

If you haven't joined, take a took at it at quora.com

I just signed up...it looks really interesting...I'm thinking this might be a good tool for use.

Thanks for sharing!
Cal

That's true lot's of great info. I have joined before, just only so much time!

Excellent site, we use it daily to drive traffic to our website and we have had WA referrals from it too.
Make sure that any url you add into your answers have the same domain. For example make money online.com/ your different pages.
Do not use different domains and make sure that if you add a domain in your bio that it is the same as the ones you use in your answers.
What I am trying to say is you can use different page urls from the same domain but not different domains.

Also don’t add a url into every answer. Maybe have “check out the link in my bio” instead on some answers.

Hope that is not too muddled?!

Thanks, that's helpful info.

A very good platform to learn and grow.

I have a very limited knowledge of Quora.

However, from what I have heard, it can be used twofold, maybe trifold:

- Ask questions on issues we want to find out more about;

- Answer others' questions on issues they want to find out more about;

- Gauge the most active/current trends/issues by questions to be able to put ourselves before a potential audience or group of purchasers or people needing certain services;

- With the caution caveats provided by others here, try to share links or hyperlinked key words to drive traffic to our websites if we can help or assist those potential clients or future WA referrals

Blessings!

Quora is cool, lots of info there. I have heard participation in this site can increase traffic rapidly. Good idea to visit this site again.
Thank you & Kind Regards,

Thanks for letting us know about Quora, will check it out. Paul

I answer cat questions on Quora all the time. Sometimes I put a link to a story if it is related. Not sure if it's gotten me any traffic, but who knows? Lots of people read Quora.

I bet there's a way to collect the traffic that comes through from there.

I've looked into the advertising program, but it is too much for me. I do have my website in my "credentials" at the top.

How do you place your website in credentials?

I just had someone from Quora on my site a few minutes ago when I looked at Google Analytics. I often get a few each day. It is a great source of traffic since the answers are just as relevant a year from now as they are today unlike social media.

Excellent! Maybe I am getting a few and don't realize it. I do see some of the same people coming back and asking me questions.

Can't remember -- sorry -- must have been when I first signed up. The website name appears just under my name. There should be some sort of profile place. I'll ask Swangirl, as she uses Quora too.

Swangirl, Shirley asked how to get to the place under your name where you put your ID...I have my web address there, but can't remember how I found the spot. Can you help?

Well, I am sure Swangirl (Jessica) will get back to you eventually. She will have gotten a notification.

Hi Shirley. We joined Quora a few months ago and love it. Be careful though with posting links. Too many and they will ban you. What we do is include links when responding to questions in our niche but then make sure we answer lots of other questions, without including links, on topics that interest us.
Have fun.

Thanks, I'll remember that. I've been trying to give lots of helpful advice with few links.

good stuff.

Be weary though; I've had my past days where I'd switch from Quora English to French & back to English...lost quite a few "productive" hours to answering questions!
I also found that many peoples tend to vent on these; whatever the language!
Cheers,
Marc
