Interesting email today
Today I received an interesting email from one of my affiliate networks. "Peerfly" emailed me that they would be closing their affiliate network business on July 31st and the workers would be moving on to something else. As for why they are closing, here is that paragraph:
Affiliate marketing is alive and well. However, the particular model that PeerFly was built on no longer represents the most efficient or cost-effective method for generating new sales and leads for advertisers.
I find this very interesting, what do you think?

Thanks for bringing up a very real issue that could arise for anyone. We always need to be prepared.

.
Bummer. You got WA. Im sure this platform is here to stay, no roadkill, better not be. Im totally invested in this platform.
Well....my first question is what does represent the most efficient cost-effective method for generating new sales and leads?
They still talk about affiliate marketing on their website, so I am not sure exactly hsat is going on here.
It's tough to see a company go out of business, but so is the nature of the beast. I wish those folks who will be out of work success as they pick up the pieces.
I just looked them up..so not very familiar with the company..but if you don't change over time to meet the changing demands of your marketplace, you become road kill eventually.
sdawson - If we continue to increase our footprint it should continue to make us stronger. As long as the giants of the sales companies keep their programs going there will still be a need for us. Smaller retail operations that sell quality product will definitely have a need for us. Advertising is too expensive to reach every Tom, Dick, Harry, Susie & Eleanor. Internet marketing is the only way going forward. The businesses that don't pick their audience correctly will not make it as would be with us by not picking our Niche correctly and then directing our focus away from our site.
