I agree with BobbyCorno. You really have to get your work out to as many people as you can. If you don't have accounts at all the social sites you need to set them up in preparation. Very easy.
Then, of course, be sure the social posts clicks go to you site.

After having the same problem, I've checked around the net for a variety of solutions, and the common theme I've come across is that you should try getting your posts/pages posted on the various social media. One solution suggests using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Tumblr, and WordPress (the last is not, of course, a social medium, but is very useful for Google ranking). Get on each of these sites, and find out what it takes to register your business so that you can post your content. These solutions suggest that you take your individual posts/pages, and post them on each of these sites on a regular basis - for example, set up your Post 1 (we'll call it), post that on all these sites in week 1 of your campaign, then Post 2, all sites, the next week, and like that. I've not gotten the set-up complete yet so I can't prove anything with my own results, but I imagine that it can't help but improve traffic.

I have just gotten my site up and running so I don't know about the traffic thing yet. But I do know that you can buy an email list. I am not sure how well that is received, however. Do some checking on Aweber, I really like their platform too.

Hi Sarah, this is the learning curse that we all have to go through. I am now watching videos and follow step by step on an autoresponder that I subscribe recently. Kind of like going back to basic.

As for content, may be you are too concern on writing a perfect article. As for me, I wrote what comes into my mind first and then refine later. I have to say, some may be worse than my son essay. :))

I know what that means Sarah, and just to let you know that everyone starting online business passes through this hard times, but my advice is that, just press forward and don't give up.

You can market your website through social media as you wait for it to mature. It takes time though. You must not be in a hurry to earn money. Just aim at helping people and in the course of helping, success will come your way.

On email lists, I haven't done it yet myself but I intend to do it soon. I have suggestions like Aweber and GetResponse. You can Google and find more information about them before trying out.

Posting is always good. Possibly using something like bing ads. Inviting people to post as guest authors might help.
