Don’t Lose Focus & Give-Up

One of the most common things that I see time and time again, is people getting frustrated because they’re not seeing quick results with their online business. They automatically think because they’ve done a bit of studying, created a website, added a few articles and waited a few months, that all their dreams are going to come true, the money will start pouring in and they can give up their day jobs and live happily ever after. But in all honesty, this is just the beginning.

If it’s something worth fighting for and will lead to an easier and fulfilling life, often, you’re going to have to work hard to get it and have a lot of patience and determination along the way.

If you ask anyone who makes a living from the internet and has become successful, most of them will say that along the way it required a lot of hard work, persistence and dedication, and not giving up at the first hurdle.

This is where a lot of people lose patience or go onto other shiny objects, thinking that it’ll be different, and they’ll get results much quicker. Hence the word “Shiny Object Syndrome” i.e. constantly moving from one program to another, and not being consistent and losing focus.

Building an Online Business, just like any “bricks and mortar” business out there today, takes months, sometimes even years to become successful, as in the end it’s all down to you and how much time and effort you put into your business.

You first need to build the foundations for your site, so that’s installing your theme and setting up the back-office. Then you need to start writing the articles, targeting specific keywords relating to your niche and building trust with Google. Google simply won’t put you No1 in the rankings because you’re the new kid on the block. Your website needs to have authority, so that’s quality keywords, well written articles which are engaging to the audience and which have comments on.

When I was first starting out, I was told in no uncertain terms, that you shouldn’t expect to make much money within the first 3 months of your website starting out as this is the time when you’re learning the skills and implementing them to your site. If you keep on Google’s good side, and be consistent with your efforts, constantly creating content, picking quality keywords and engaging with your audience (i.e. replying to comments on your site) then they’ll reward you in the end and you can expect to start having the level of success that you’ve been craving for, but this will take time and won’t happen overnight.

My words of advice for anyone starting out at Wealthy Affiliate, is to stay the course and never give up. You’re going to have many up’s and down’s in your business, but as I’ve said a few times above, if you dedicated and consistent with your efforts you’ll start to see results.

You have everything you’ll ever need here at Wealthy Affiliate to become a success, but in the end it’s down to you and you only……how much do you want it? Those who dip in-and-out of the training from day-to-day will have the same results in their business, but those who watch the training, does exactly what Kyle teach them, and is passionate, then they’ll see quicker results.

Affiliate Marketing is a process, which can be taught to anyone, but that doesn’t mean it’s a get rich quick scheme. You simply can’t just press a few buttons, and miraculously start earning money and those people who are telling you otherwise are simply wrong. “Get-Rich-Quick Schemes” are flat out scams and don’t work. Trust me, I know from experience, as I was scammed from one myself when I was young and very stupid. I fell into the make money quick idea and lost $2000 for my efforts. But in a strange way, it was the best lesson I ever learnt, which is to not cut corners and learn the process correctly. This is what Wealthy Affiliate will help you, so welcome aboard, get strapped in and enjoy the ride.
