Hello Folks,

I am sure that most of you must have seen my question about the one who Left a feedback instead of a comment. I have tried all the suggestions you gave me on how to contact him so that he will rewrite his comment and do sll the neccessary corrections. But I could not find him. At the comment side on the Weslthy Affiliate platform, his Email is not there. I also tried to search for his name in the WA Search bar but still colud not find him.

Please any other suggestion on what I should do? Should I disapprove his feedback comment. What do you suggest?

I will appreciate your reply. Thanks

I personally wouldn't edit anyone's comment - it is like censure, but I would be comfortable in not approving it at all if it is detrimental to your website. It is your website after all and you have final say on what's published on it. Also, wondering if this is a feedback that you requested. If so, usually I find the contacts or replies from those that have done feedbacks under siterubix/site feedback/request feedback

Thanks friend

You CAN edit his comment; Many people have stated they do this, from time to time.

I don't and never have, but that's me.

It IS your website and you do not need to allow anything to be on it that you do not want!

Thank you. Well appreciated

It depends on what the comment says.

Thanks friend

No problem.

I agree with the other comments. I suggest that you disapprove his comments and know that you did all you could to reach that individual.

All the best as you move forward.

Susan

Thank you Susan

You've done all you can so don't waste your time any more, delete it and move on

Thank you

Hi, Stephen.

I know that an individual wrote a suggestion for when this situation takes place in a blog posted about a week or so ago.

It was his theory that such incorrectly worded website feedback when the article author was requesting comments on the content should never be disapproved. He came up with what he thought was a solution, and one that could also be quite time consuming.

However, as you stated and something that I myself found out, there is a huge flaw with the individual's suggestion. What pops up when you click on the image of a person's comment is his/her gravatar - NOT info about WA membership.

Now, then by your own choice, you could take up a lot of your valuable time attempting to look up this individual's WA profile here based on whatever name can be seen on the image, that is if it matches up with his/her registered name when he/she joined WA. It does not happen 100% of the time. A person could use a nickname for his/her gravatar and a real name based on his/her being a member of WA and vice-versa.

Also, in a different scenario the individual's name could be "Mary", "Joseph", "Thomas" or "Jennifer". Well with such a common name as the ones that I mentioned, it could be several dozen members here at WA who share that same name. Best of luck to you trying to find the right person based solely on a picture image in that situation.

In my situation, I could not even find the image of that member based on his gravatar photo which appeared in the comments as even being a member of WA. His specific name was not listed anywhere here as being a member of WA as my true goal, liking his comment so much, was that I wanted to add him to my follow list.

I now feel after talking it over privately with a veteran WA member when I asked for his opinion and to be blunt, there really is no excuse for a person to confuse website feedback versus comments that need to be made on a specific post/page content article.

Website feedback simply does not belong on the platform in which the author of an article is asking for comments on the content that was presented.

Addressing the layout, color scheme, design and construction of a member's website belongs in the website feedback portal and that is it!

There is enough training here at WA which explains the vast difference between the two. It is required that all members who participate in the WA site commment/website feedback platforms know the difference between the two, accomplished only after taking the time to read the material presented in the training.

So, in my opinion and now taking a 180 degree polar opposite stance in that article presented here last week by that individual, it would be perfectly alright for you to disapprove of website feedback that should have been presented as comments on the content within an article, and nothing else. Let that be a learning lesson to that individual so that hopefully he/she does not do it again.

If he/she continues to do it a number of times with other members' sites, then the person truly is not paying attention - which really should be unacceptable. And as would be the eventual case unfortunately for that member as established by Kyle, he/she would lose the privilege in participating in those platforms, period.

Yjsnks for the suggeston

I suggest that you delete his comment and continue with your website. Don't waste your time :) Do something that will grow your business.

Thank you Rufat.

Send me a screenshot of the comment via PM. I might have some suggestions for you:)))

I can't even find him on this platfofm

You have 2 choices:

1. Disapprove it
2. Edit it and approve. You will then be able to see the person's email address.

You've tried your best, if no-one has any other alternatives, then disapprove the comment and move on. :)

Thank you
