Wondering if it's better/more success if you buy a domain rather than use site rubix. Does it just look better to search engines and people searching when it is an actual domai

I used a siterubix website to get myself up and running, not necessarily for Google indexing but to test out themes and plugins and develop my first bit of content. Once I was sure what I wanted I purchased my own domain name and moved everything over from the siterubix site. Then I enabled Google indexing and considered myself "live" to customers. Ultimately you choose a path that works best for you, but I believe a sandbox is best when first starting out.

Wishing you a successful journey!

It is recommended to buy your own domain. It takes a bit of time to get recognized on Google.

Use the free site rubix sites as a testing sandbox, then once you have your niche worked out, you should be able to get a domain name for less than US$20 a year. That domain name looks way more professional, and ensure that you set up 'support at that domain name' or your Christian name at that domain name' which looks way more professional when doing emails in connection with that domain name.

I would always purchase a domain name rather than using a free one

If you are unsure about your niche or website name it is okay to begin with the siterubix. I have found it is always best to have your own domain name because it is more professional and people tend to take the site more seriously.

That's what I was thinking. I just don't want to make a website that's free but then it doesn't get the audience I am trying to achieve.

Go with your gut. You got this!

Keyword, Niche and Market Research

Hey Kyle, trying to decide if it is a good idea to do a specific niche. I want to do a dieting niche but more for a specific diet, the keto diet. Since I have done the diet and

Niche by definition is a specific market segment. So if you choose too broad niche, it's hard to reach your audience.
Try to find a specific niche would be better and recommended.

:)
Joe

Thank you! I figured more specific would help because there may not be as many already out there.

You're spot on.
Think this way ...you are promoting something that only you sell the product. Despite there are only 10 people looking for the product, there's nobody else they can go but you. Rather than you have 100 potential buyers looking for a product but there are 50 people offering the same product.

Hope you can see it...
