Content or Content?

It depends on where you put the emphasis.

I was content with the content (well, not entirely) of mywebsite until I took a look at my site health. It is improving but not where it should be. It reminds me of my bank account - they bothexist but there’s not just a whole lot to show for either one.

I can become more content with the content in my bank accountby focusing my attention on tasks that will improve the content of that account: working more hours and / or spending lessmoney.

The same is true for my website. I can become more content with the amount andquality of content in my website by once again focusing my attention where itshould be – doing more research, more writing and more publishing and lessprocrastinating.

It’s all about focus.

This past week my emphasis has been on the following: 1)creating more content (much of it not yet published) and 2) spending more time –a LOT more time in Site Feedback and I anticipate the next week or two will bemore of the same. It continues to amazeme how much I learn and can apply to my own website when I spend time reviewingothers. Site Feedback is also greatwhen I need a little inspiration.

I’ve made it all the way to Lesson 5 of Level 3 – a pointwhere I’m really beginning to feel the pressure to generate traffic – any traffic– to this site. A hundred millionaffiliate links on my website will be of little use if no one knows the siteexists.

This doesn’t leave much time for writing a WA blog orreading and properly responding to other’s blogs and questions but once I’mmore content with the content and direction of my website, I will be able to easily refocus my attention elsewhere.

This is too true. If you're like me, its hard to stay focused with all the distractions in life. It can be like a dog chasing squirrels at times!
Just remember why we started this and never lose site of what you want to achieve.

Very good advice! Thank you.

Staying focused and never losing sight of why we are here is so important to remember.

Thanks for sharing your story.
