Empower Network???

Does anyone have an experience with empowernetwork.com? I signed up with them a few days ago and so far I am unimpressed. I actually found Wealthy Affiliate while looking to see if they were a scam. I noticed Kyle gave it his lowest rating possible, so that kind of freaks me out. I got a call today from the guy who I apparently signed up under, which was a surprise to me as I did not get there from his site.

Anyways, it seems a little disingenuous to say the least. Seems like the idea is to get your link all over Google and have people buy into it based on the promise of 100% commissions.

Any thoughts?

Hey Alan. I do have experience with EN. Not for very long but it isn't that good of an experience either. Its great that you looked them up too and then found WA. (Looks like we have more in common because that is how I found WA as well)

The person that signed me up didn't help me at all with marketing and building the business. I got out of it after only like 2 months because I wasn't getting the help and training that I needed and wanted to do. I don't need to be baby sat but guided and mentored yes.

And I thought about it for a few months afterwards and after researching what a pyramid scheme is, really started to think that they were one. Because there is no product to sell, and you can't just buy a service you have to join EN. So I thought they were a pyramid scheme. Then last month I really thought, "Ok, I want to do an online business, and you aren't going to make very much money just paying $25 a month membership fee, (I'm not including the $20 you have to pay just to get paid) So I'll look it up again, find someone who will really mentor me, know that I have to invest money in my business to make it grow, and go from there." Well then I found Empower Network Scam article by Kyle, and that is how I got to WA. I am so much happier here then I would have been at EN. Glad you found it here!!!

Fortunately, I was only signed up for about 5 days :). I was contacted about 3 days after I signed up, apparently by the guy I was under. He wanted to talk to me on the phone, but I had pretty much already made up my mind that it didn't look like a good company to get involved with. I told him I changed my mind about EN and he started in with the high pressure and insults. I asked him about the refund policy and he said there wasn't any. I simply asked him not to contact me anymore, which he hasn't done, then I filed a dispute with my credit card company stating that I did not receive any of the services promised. I was never able to access their blogging system, only more videos trying to sell me more and more expensive "training" videos. Needless to say, the credit card company credited me back all the money within a day, so they must tell you they have heard of the EN scam as well. So, lucky for me, at this point, the bad experience did not really cost me anything other than about 2 hours of time I spent watching their videos. I will have to wait 30 days to be officially clear of the $100 for the Inner Circle should EN try to resubmit the charges. I suspect they won't and if they do, I will dispute them again away.

So if anyone reads this and has not been signed up in EN too long, you may be able to rocoup some of your money simply by contacting your bank. I didn't even have to talk to anyone, just submitted the disputes online, which took about 5 minutes.

Avoid them period.

Justin blogged asking about the Empower Network pyramid blogging scam here https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jtstretch/blog/empower-network a few days ago. Rich.

Hey, SavvyStata!

Check out this review by Kyle about EN

Great. . .I see Carson posted it, too! (:

EN is currently the largest Scam online, read a full review about it here:

There is no product, no service, and you only make money by scamming others by bringing them into the cycle. If you'e heard of Ponzi Schemes, Pyramid Schemes, or MLM, this is exactly what EN is.

To earn money online ethically, you want to build a business that offers your potential clients some value. This is what you will learn here at WA!

Thanks Carson. That was the article I read that initially made me think twice. I cancelled my "Inner Circle" membership right away. I think I will do this same with the regular membership as well.

Been there but didn't do that ! I read a lot about it and I think you'll find there seems to be a major problem as they really offer no product only high pressure hype. I would check it out further and use your own gut feelings help be your guide. I hope this helps !

Thanks MrSales. That is sort of how I was feeling. I had agreed to talk to the guy but just texted him saying I was not available. I don't need to be pressured :)
