I'm trying to figure out how to play with side margins in wordpress on my posts and pages. Is this something I am able to do within wordpress or do I have to play with all thos

you maybe able to do something within your theme
check under appearance customize and see if there are settings for your width.
if you use the new block editor and add three columns you maybe able to add your pst to the middle column in a classic editor block and adjust the two outer columns for margins.
but it is mainly a theme thing and may display differently on different devices.
make sure you click preview and go down the bottom left and see what it looks like on other devices.
good luck

Just wanting to make sure I'm keeping everything clean and legal. I understand I can't just take any image from online and place it in my posts, I have to use my own or free im

Yes having I formative links is very good! You can have them throughout your article as well. Don't forget to have internal links as well, linking one article to another is also a very good thing in Google's eyes.
You are correct about too many affiliate links in one article as well.
Hope this was helpful.

I am building a site around women's health care products. At the moment I am building content that breaks down each product and discusses the health benefits associated with us

Hi Savannah!
In order to build an audience that trusts you, you need to build your credibility first. One way to build credibility is by crediting the website, writer, or post you took the information from, providing direct links to the original articles. You always have to do it.
Hope this helps,
Tom
