Six truths about time

Over the years I have been involved with many different endeavours. When I have been successful, it has normally been because I took the time to learn what to do and I did it. As a "Newbie", I have also tried many of the other programs, but with little success - mostly due to no "coaching". I really have been impressed and appreciate the platform here with WA.

Over the years I have found it useful to write down ideas, thoughts, comments given to me by trainers and coaches, as well as co workers. One set of notes which I remind myself of periodically is notes i have written on time. I will not take credit for originality, though i do not know who wrote any or all of these points. I have shared them online before, but I thought i would share them again. For us starting out, it will do good to recognize success takes time. So here are six terrific truths about time i have kept

1) Nobody can manage time - you are only able to manage those things that take up your time.

2) Time is expensive. As a matter of fact, 80% of our day is usually spent on those things or people that only bring us about 2% of our results; while 20% of our day is spent on those things or people that bring us 98% of our results.

3) Time is perishable. You cannot save time for later use. Time must be used now or it is forever lost.

4) Time is measurable. Every individual receives the same amount of time - from the pauper to the king. It is not how much time you have; it is how you use the time you have.

5) Time is irreplaceable. We can never get or make back time once it is gone.

6) Time is a priority. You have enough time for anything in the world, so long as it ranks high enough among your priorities.

Have an absolutely incredible and successful day!

I especially resonate with "time is perishable". That's why my mantra is "every day, in every way, I am getting better and better".

Great post! If we only had more time...and learn to use our time wisely. Time is valuable. Have fun and enjoy!

How true. You nailed it, Scott. #7 : Time flies ! :)

Thanks for sharing and the follow. May our Lord grant you and your family every blessing.

Scott, I really think if we fully digested and utilized the lessons in this post it would go a long ways in assuring our success. Good post and welcome to WA.
