An interesting success story and update
Hello Everyone here at WA
Many times people share here at WA their thoughts and sometimes there successes. Here is another one of mine.
Since joining WA, I have learned a lot about building sites, SEO, and all the other things that go with it. I know some of you really are active here helping me and others like me learn. I wish to say thank you for that.
As I started the year, I set some goals. One of those was that in June of this year I would build an Amazon Affiliate site for which the funds would go strictly for my son's college. And I did - start building out the site.
I am also keeping notes on this site because after watching all the training, I have noticed a couple things and wanted to play a little bit with my observations. I will share those if they are successful when i feel I have enough data.
Anyway, I built the site out (I now have about 20,0000 word in 20+ pages/posts) and it is an obvious amazon site. The site is 15 days old. Here are my Amazon stats.
Clicks - 42
Ordered Items - 10
Conversion rate - 23.81%
Yes - based on the commission amount, there is a lot of "small" dollar purchases, but I wasn't expecting to see any income for 90 - 120 days.
Remember,
this is a 15 day old site
Site traffic is at 75 unique visitors
There is No paid traffic
And I am still building.
My Goal with this site?
Not much really - looking to be generating a monthly income of $500 + per month by the end of a year (May 2017). That will help my son so he doesn't have to work part time and can have some spending cash. It will also pay what he is short so he doesn't have to go into debt for school. (3 kids thru college - No debt so far. Lots of hard work. That's why I work 3 jobs and I am doing this. LOL)
To Your success
Scott

Best of luck Scott. Keep going and I'm sure your son will be grateful for all your hard work.
He is. He helped pick the topic. That way he can write an article for me every month or so. No free rides here. But I do support them in their efforts. 4 kids with the last one in college - Thank the Lord, that will be over.
