I have a domain name expiring in a few days. I can't figure out how to get it from the paid Wordpress to the free WA siterubix domain. Any ideas?

Do you host both at WA? If so, ask support for advice
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

You need to go to the registrar where you originally purchased the domain, ie. GoDaddy, Namecheap etc. and ask for a transfer code. However, many won't transfer a domain that has less than 60 days to expiry. You may have to renew with them and then transfer.

I have followed the top 200 or so and tend to follow whoever follows me. I was wondering if there is a more effective way to build my network and how to manage a large followin

I started off making a list of 50 blogs in my niche and read them regularly left comments etc.
Slowly I grew connections and started getting comments back.
I also created an email list which is a must if you want people to come back regularly on your site.
Social media is by far the best way to generate a following and establish a brand name for yourself.

Thanks. I am part of your email list! :)

I JUST LIKE TO INTERACT WITH PEOPLE :-)) IF I FIND SOMEONE INTERESTING OR THEY FIND ME THE IN FOLLOW :-)) AND HOPE THEY WILL FOLLOW ME BACK AND VIS-A-VIS XOXOXO TO YOU AND YOURS
HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE XOXO

In my opinion there is not a good system here to follow people and FOLLOW UP with them. You hardly find them any more when you search for who shares certain interests with you. Remembering their names, often 2 names for the same person, is just very difficult.
I will check the blog proposed by Jewel, too and see if there is a way of which I wasn't aware of yet.

That is exactly what I am talking about. I want to build the network not just collect the network. I want to learn from people but it gets hard when the network gets so large. Thanks for responding.

It gets harder to keep up with everyone to be honest. The more you post and the higher your posts appear, it seems that you will automatically gain more followers because they like what you have to say :)

Hey Susan, this training will help, on page 4 :

I think this is a good thing but I don't know what it means and what, if anything, I should do about it.

noun: trackback; plural noun: trackbacks; noun: track-back; plural noun: track-backs
an automatic notification sent when a link has been created to a person's blog post from an external website, allowing a reciprocal link to that website to be created.

CHEERS HUN XOXOXOX

It's basically where you provide comments on another blog (probably in your niche) and within the comment, you provide a link back to your blog post. Hopefully, visitors to that other blog will track your link back to your blog post.

But it's also a way to let that other blog know that you exist. Maybe they see your comment and come to your blog. They like it and mention it to their audience. Maybe they'll post a trackback link on your post comments too.

Watch out for spam trackbacks on your blog. Spammy bloggers will go out and drop generic comments with their trackback links all over the net. You'll learn to recognize those the block or remove them. They say stuff like "I really liked your blog article. It's enriching my life daily. Please reference my blog also at http://lkjlkj.com" They get really creative and the grammar is usually poor.

THANK YOU FOR THAT :-) XOXO

Check out this article here for a description of trackbacks and pingbacks. It should be helpful:

I was wondering if anyone else is reviewing other sources of side income, like taking surveys, freelance work like on Fiverr, and the like? Not things that are necessarily in c

Sorry for such a late reply, I have tried doing the surveys but have never made anything from them at all. I find that a lot of the surveys have already been filled before you do them so you don't get a chance. xx

On Fiverr you can easily pick up jobs but it will be hard at first with no reviews from former jobs to get any gigs so you will have to look at requests and offer to do a bit of extra work or cheaper than they ask for. That way you'll get better reviews and eventually more gigs. oDesk is a similar thing to fiverr. As for surveys, they're usually a waste of time since you only get paid like 1 dollar for something that will take up to 2-3 hours.

There are myriad of opportunities available. If you goggle search under writing opportunities, internet research opportunities, proofreading opportunities, etc. you will find many options. Fiverr and Upwork are two main ones used.

I have done some survey work :-))

I'm a full time freelance writer - a lot of my work comes through Upwork.com

I never stop! At the moment I'm doing freelance virtual assistant work - I've got a 30 hour per week day job for another few months so I'm not really pushing that too much at the moment - I've got four clients, doing mostly social media. They're mostly real estate agents/companies..

I'm also writing a Kindle Short 'cozy mystery' although I don't think I'm as cozy as I like to think I am so it might just end up being ... a mystery :-) I have a non-fiction book and a few short stories on Amazon already under my writing name, Norah Deay so I want to increase my catalogue and start making some money.

This is the life I wanted when I moved out of the city last year. Auckland is the 4th most expensive city to buy in so we were able to halve our mortgage by moving 2 hours down the road. We're also renovating at the moment and will have a self-contained bedroom/ensuite/sitting room available for tourists in November. I live in Hobbiton - where Lord of the Rings was made so it's crazy for tourists around here.

I got one of my clients through Freelancer (actually I've had a few jobs from Freelancer) and if you're thinking of it I'd recommend going for the lower level payment option at first so that you can get some good reviews. They're really important.

Hi Susan, I sent you a Private Message

Can you send me one too as I am interested. Thanks.

I blog about WAH jobs. I'm not sure if I can share my site here, but you're welcome to visit anytime. It's free to search. :)

I sure haven't but I think I will.

JudeP and catlady13 are both pros at that sort of work. You can look at some of their posts regarding writing jobs on Upwork etc.

I haven't been receiving email alerts from Wealthy Affiliate for a few days. Can anyone suggest something to fix this?

Glad you managed to sort it Susan. Something so simple can drive you daft at times. xx

Exactly!

You are more than 'covered' here within this community.

Isn't it great? Next to instant gratification.

Paul.

Success - I had changed my password and didn't change the corresponding POP thing in my forwarding.

There you go. Sometimes we forget the 'simplest things.'

Paul.

make sure they are not going to spam. You may make sure that WA is in your address book.

I checked it and made sure the WA is in the address book. Thanks.

Loes has a good point here. Mine go through a spam filter before they are delivered a 2AM my time. Occasionally only a portion of them get through.

Thanks I checked the spam filter, nothing there.

I've had this a couple of times. Try clearing your cache and then sign out and back in again. If that doesn't work, try a different email address - that worked for me and then I switched back to the original one :)

Tried it. Thanks.

Check your spam folder, if they are not there, it can be a block from your provider, I had that with hotmail, switched to a gmail account and never had any problems again

Currently on gmail but I will check the account.

I would submit a support ticket. I found them to be extremely responsive, usually within an hour!

Will do! Thanks.
