I just think that once the novelty is gone so get our sites a natural dive.
I have experienced the same and started to fight my hand back. I do not know if I'm right but at least my thought on the subject

Pagespeed insight helped me .I hope it helps.

The first thing I'd do is to make sure your tracking code is working. Go to the Admin panel in GA, and make sure you see that your site is "receiving data." If not, then it may have dropped off somehow with a theme change or something. Hope this helps you out! Alanna

Your site seems to take a while to load. TheLunaBird.com, right?
Test your site speed. Use one of these:

Site speed is an important ranking factor.

OK this resulted in a few images and widgets that need fixing. It looks like it is going to be a long weekend. Thanks everyone for your help. hopefully fixing the issues will fix the issue,

Good luck. :)

ok so i did some more research on the google developer page and it keeps telling me my images are too big, but when i copy the link from the image it brings me to images that i did not put onto my site. they seem to be some kind of infographic type images and are saved as media-cache? i am so confused. why are these images associated with my website and why are they damaging my loading time. how can i find them and delete them? I think these images are from other pins i pinned on pinterest.
ok so removing a pinterest plugin helped to at least reduce my desktop issues, now to fix my mobile issues. 6 hours of working on this today only and i feel like i barely made any progress :(

Hey Sarah,

If you have set up your Google Webmaster Tools, they may indicate what is wrong with your website within the messages. I would also check what @pepemx stated about your website being responsive as the latest Google change is targeting websites that aren't.
Best Regards,
Jim

Is your website mobile optimised I heard Google are punishing websites that are not.

I read about that and did the analysis before hand and it said my website was good to go. So I am not sure

is your site responsive?

I would check with tech support about that one.

I'm not an SE expert by any stretch of the imagination, but could it be something to do with the "Google Dance"? Has your website been indexed for long? Google sometimes puts it in one spot, then it will disappear from the results, bounce back and disappear again as they try to find the right place to put your site.

I have been around for a little over a year now

hhmm.. ok, so it's definitely not that then.. hopefully some with more knowledge can help you out. Yikes!

So I am thinking of making the following my new slogan for my healthy alternative living website:

"Because Natural Living Is More Than Fulfilling!"

What do you guys t

Good slogan;)

I vote for "Natural Living is More Than Fulfilling!

Thanks for the feedback. :)

I like it but agree with Brandi, take out the because. :)

Thanks, i appreciate the feedback, will leave the because out :)

I like it. I always think shorter the better so perhaps consider taking out the 'because' and making it a strong statement with a ring.

Thanks, maybe: Natural Living Is Super Fulfilling" would work better?

In my opinion: yup, straight to the point. Less is more.

Thumbs up for "Natural Living Is Super Fulfilling". That sounds good. :)

I recently got an email regarding a video I created and uploaded to YouTube. The email said that someone had laid claim to my video and I needed to dispute it if it was indeed a video I created, which I did. I did fill out the dispute form, but was curious as to why someone would try and lay claim to a video they did not own.

I also received an email request to remove a link. The links are actually within the Medicare.gov website. I don't feel that it is my responsibiity to remove my links to Medicare, but Medicares to reove them from thier site.

What did you ultimately do Sarah?

Thank, Bill

I'm with you. It is their responsibility.

I've never received an email of this kind before.I think this has happened to another WA member, where their backlinks went out of control and it reached the point where they had to move their site under a totally new domain name because traffic had decreased dramatiaclly.

I'm not saying this is happening to you, lol. It may well be a spammy email sent to you. You never know! Ask WA support for some assistance. Neil

Hey. I just received an email very similar to this. I think the links were coming from the comments. In my case the site on whose behalf the email was from was actually another WA member. So, they had left comments on my site linking back to their website.

I'm not exactly sure, but I figure one of two things. 1. That person has begun using some sort of service to analyze their backlinks. And it has deemed the ones from our websites as unhelpful to their SEO. Or 2. There is some sort of hacking thing going on acting on behalf of those sites. My gut is leaning more towards 1.

I don't really feel compelled to delete the comments as they are helping my site by providing comments and due to the fact that they voluntarily put the comments their in the first place.

Either way, I'm pretty sure this isn't the actual website owner sending these emails, but an automated email sent out by some 3rd party service they are using.

Just my two cents.

Thanks. I think you are right Dustin. I went to the website and i am pretty sure it is of another WA member and I returned a comment on their site after they left a comment or vice versa. I also don't want to delete any comments. Hopefully this won't cause any problems in the future :)

Yeah. I've realized that as I've started to get more and more traffic I've had to become increasingly skeptical of every email I receive and to never trust anything as surface value. I've gotten a lot of emails from people claiming to have my best interest in mind...but after researching them they're just trying to get my money! Unfortunate but true.

Thanks Dustin!

You got all my questions answered. Ive receive similar emails. Thanks fpr clarifying

No problem!

Hey WAers I need your help! I am currently working on rebranding my site, so I have a consistend theme and header, logos etc throughout all my platforms. I want to this as I am cur

Hey guys, I finally did it. My new logo is done. It took me a while as my first design got lost as my laptop died. That was a very sad day, about a month worth of work gone :( Anyway I had to move on, so here it is: http://thelunabird.com/
Let me know what you think, it is definitely simpler :)
I did leave the old logo in the side bar, i still like the design in general, but the new logo which will always be used now is in the header image. it can also be found on most of my social sites as well and will be the header in my email newsletters (soon the come :) ).

Hi Sarah,
You have a nice logo, I agree with the comments here about removing details that are not necessary.

I get the idea of the world, but I don't see any indications, from the content of your website, that your company serves a worldwide audience, so I think you could get rid of all the lines on the globe and just use a circle instead.

The lines for the continents on the globe are conflicting with the lines in your Luna bird, making it difficult to differentiate the bird from the world globe.

I would be happy to simplify your logo for you and make it pop, at no charge. If you're interested send me a PM.

Have a great day... : )

Thank you. I think I am going to go with a simpler design. Once I have created it i'll check in again to get more opinions :) I think I will keep my old logo for something else though. I do have problems with scaling, one of the main reasons I want to change it. I want a sleeker design that is also identifiable if it is small. I do like designing and have a bit of knowledge with some graphic design software. I do feel passionate about designing my own logo. I'll get back to work on that :) Thanks for you help guys.

Hello Sarah. Here's the thing. In my opinion, for a logo that symbolizes a brand or a company, to me, it should be simple, easy to remember for the audience how it looks like such as Nike and McD.

I agree with Jenny for this one.

Having said that, that doesn't mean you should change it. There are logos like those film productions where they're quite detailed when it comes to designs. So, I'm guessing there's nothing wrong it.

I do love your logo though. The way you fuse the bird (hope it's right) and the planet earth. That's awesome. But then again, that's my suggestion and I believe it's 50-50 in terms of people's reaction.

I love the logo concept. Are you going to TM? It's My understanding that for a niche site the logo does not carry the same weight as if you are building brand awareness in other types of industries. In niche marketing I think content is king, as you already know . So if I had a logo that I started and wanted a good clean image that I could use throughout my project, I would outsource to http://fiverr.com and for 5$ have professionals bid on cleaning up the logo etc

I agree wiith you though it is good to have a logo and something that memorable , I have used fiverr and found them to be quick and efficient

Hi Sarah,

Yes, I think your logo might be too detailed! The general rule for logos is the simpler, the better. You also want to be able to scale it up or down as needed and I think you'd lose some detail with the current logo if you had to scale it down any further. I think if you just filled some of the areas with a solid color, rather than a line, you'd see a big improvement...and that's a pretty easy fix.

Hope this helps a little.
Jenny
