Lasso has posted an update. I am hoping this includes the lite version

Hi,
If you only have a few links to change, so not a site with hundreds of blog post or image links, I would definitely recommend using the plugin called WP Tasty, although not for free, it is more affordable than Lasso. I am in the process of changing my links as we speak.
A free way I didn't find, unfortunately. Keep in mind that it doesn't change all your links automatically, so you will have to go over them one by one. Lizzy

Blog I wrote that is working for me. Others are researching other possible solutions to this issue as well.

Thanks! I just wish the lite version could fix the image dilemma since I'm not in a position to pay for a new tool right now.

I feel your pain. With this economy these days, money is very tight for everybody. Even myself. Someone did mention WP Tasty as a more affordable option for pictures. Less expensive than that of Lasso.

I just received this response to my registration for an affiliate network today:

"We require that a site converts sales on-site and not like to any 3rd party market plac

Hmm, I think I personally translate that as "we're too picky, and in the future we'll regret not approving you when we realize how much business you could have provided us with".

There's nothing more I dislike than super picky affiliate managers. I've experienced it a lot over the years, but often it's a blessing in disguise... You end up finding a better program with a better manager :)

Yeah I think they are reffering at your Amazon links for the 3rd party marketplace.
And yes, I also thing they want to see some PPC earnings from your website.
They are very picky when choosing their affiliates!

Does this mean they're not likely to accept me unless I dump Amazon? Or I just need to incorporate some PPC earnings to add some diversity?

I wouldn't normally sweat about one specific application, but in this case, they represent a brand I really want to partner with. A review post I wrote over a year ago is by far my most popular article and brings in the most traffic; it's a missed opportunity to not have affiliate links to the company in that post.

You can always ask them to clarify what they expect your website to look like. If you only need to add PPC or if you need to change your Amazon links so it doesn't look like a 3rd party makerplace.

The best thing to do is to ask them directly.

I've found several affiliate programs that fit my niche, and most of them use ShareASale, so I'm reviewing the terms before submitting my application. In the tutorial I recentl

There are so many other companies out there to do affiliate marketing, I wouldn't sign up for any company who charges for an application form. It shows weakness within the company. Best wishes!

Watching with interest, but I remember reading that it was around $5!

Jeff

The fee is set out on the application form, if there is no fee set out on the application form at the time of applying, it means that there is no fee to pay.

Some companies do charge a small (often refundable) fee to join in order to deter fraud. As you can imagine, there are a lot of people that try to claim fraudulent commissions etc from these networks & the payment barrier drastically reduces it.

I did not pay anything when I joined 5 months ago.

Hi - I didn't pay anything, but they are now part of the AWIN group who do charge $5 to join, so it may be different now. This fee is refunded when you get your first commission payout. If you have any questions, you can ask Jeannine, she is the official representative here.
