HI - Just working of one of the later lessons and in the training video Kyle explains how to copy my "WA ID as an affiliat"e and use the Facebook symbol on the top of the Blog

You are going to do that further up in the training by using a plug-in.

HI Jerry - I'm in lesson 4 at 9 of the 10 - I know how to add social contacts on my website - but on today's session - I don't have the same screen options as Kyle explained
( I've also sent a training amendment request because the Ambassador link explaining financial benefit of support is apparently out of date and a non-event now )

Social links - not on my blog page?

Just wondered if I could create a page of my affiliate marketing links as a tool rather than as a random benefit ? thanks Sandy :)

You have great comments below.

You could make the page private if its just for your own reference

Thanks Mark - I was thinking it would be an honest open approach to what seems to be a very small group

Hi Mark,
Was actually thinking it was a way to centralize information for the community I'm creating - obviously needs more thought.
Thank you - Sandy

Personally I try to steer away from over linking, I would creat a post for each one or may two links? I have seen sites drop rankings for this technique, ( stuffing articles with aff links) dont think google bots like it? It is legal however., I've been buiding websites sice 2012, keep testing I say and see what works, best of luck? 👍

Hi Karl - thanks for the comment, I'm so touched by the input with such a supporting group!!
I guess, as my first site I just wanted to keep working at it to be as close to awesome as I can be !!
Kind regards Sandy :)

No problem Sandy best of luck 👍

You could do this as a page if you explain to people exactly what it is and why you're doing it. Jim

Thank you too, Jim :)

Given your experience - if you have time - I'd appreciate your comments 0n my 1st attempt ( and Ill try to share my site address as I ask this time ....)

http://glutenfreeandglutenintolerance,com

I clicked on your link Sandy and it came up 'This site can't be reached' Jim

I'll go and see if it will work in my PC.

My PC couldn't find the site either. I did notice that your url had http on it instead of https. It might be a good thing to contact site support and have it checked. Jim

Jim - so sorry I had copied incorrect typing also effecting Phil below....

:(

Oh Jim..... my mistake !! :(

WOW!! Sandy, your site is incredible. I don't see any issues with the links. It's all informative . The site is very easy to navigate, looks good and is full of fantastic information. The only let down for me was the recipe tab. What did you do with the actual recipes. Get that sorted and you're definitely on a winner. All the best. Jim

Jim they should be there as drop downs??
I just took this pic - can you not see or open them? Sandy :)

You're right. They definitely are there. Not sure what I did wrong earlier. Well that makes your site perfect. I think you're on a winner in more ways then one. You are actually making a difference in peoples lives, and you will be able to make a good income as well.

Jim - that is the most unexpected and amazing comment on my site - very new and so very appreciative of that type of support.

I hope I can be just like "the girl next door that cares for them and loves sharing their food choices "
So nice of you Jim.
Kindest regards
Sandy:)

Yes, it is legal Sandra. It is more a question of whether it adds value to your site.

If the affiliate sites you are linking to add value for your potential customers then it would be a good way of monetising your site.

Derek

and, Thanks here to you too Derek!

I hope I'm getting my first attempt ,close to being constructive,
I'd really appreciate your comments on my site if you have time
Thanks - Sandy :)

Oh Derek seriously - maybe time to finish tonight.....
site is -
http://glutenfreeandintolerance.com

if it adds value to your niche then yes
if it is just an easy list for you - then no.
remember that your site is for your visitors, so make sure everything you produce is easy to ue for them.
a lot of sites have a resources page, so tools you use or a quick reference.
but make sure you have load of other useful content as well to establish credibility.
you need to prove you are using the tools and they work to promote them in this way.
good luck
phil

Phil, thank you - would you mind looking over my site and telling me what you think - being so new ..... I would appreciate some constructive input - Sandy :)

ok....well i can guess at the url... i have a few to choose from.
Sorry Sandy - is there any chance you can pass on your url

So Sorry Phil - I could almost find that funny if it wasn't so ridiculous !!
http://glutenfreeandintolerance.com
very kind of you to share patience as well !!

we all do it, so laugh, i chuckled and thought of a few words to try - nowhere close to your site name.. lol

Hi there…..
My very first attempt ……. views of my (first ever) website - from Dashboard view - today - its almost the original version and if I view m

IF your web page or post is published or is in draft mode in Word press, you can use the preview button. If you are comparing what you wrote in site content to your Wordpress post, then yo may see differences. The published version is the finished product.

Hi David I believe it is all published - I do it as I add or review the page or posts and from that path I see a new version but not if I look at the site from "Dashboard View Site" ?

Hi Dave - I don't understand why I see two versions - the one that I can access when I first login to the site from top left corner - view website is the older version?

what you might be seeing when you view your site is a stored one, or cached one. this is stored by your browser to show you the site quickly, not always ideal for webmasters.
what you need to do is to press the ctrl button and tap the f5 button to bypass the cached version of your site and show you the real one.
i hope it helps Sandy
phil

Thanks - I'll try that too :)

Feigner - Ok I've done that too and the site opens with the 2 first pages - still wrong, they don.t have correct amount header data. When I open another of the pages (which are correct and then go back to the first 2 they seem like they are OK ?.
When I close out an comeback same issue :(

what is the url of your site - this doesn't make sense.
have you deleted any versions of those articles? if so clear out the trash.
you haven't got to versions of the articles listed in your posts or pages?

Sorry I dont understand the question. Could you try to explain what you need help with?

Apologies I should have posted under reply !!

If the site is published and up and running then you should only see one version. Try clearing the history from your browser and then try again. (You might be seeing and old cached version for some reason)

OK - Ill give that a go too :)

Hi everyone -
Very exciting path ahead - an a lot to learn :)
I haven't been able to access my first ( new... challenging....learning pad) of a website !!
I can open

Click on Websites on the left and then Site Manager.

Find your site and click on Login.

Another little menu will appear and you click on that login and you are taken to your Wordpress Back Office.

You can start from there and start writing Posts or Pages simply by clicking on Posts or Pages on the left hand dashboard.

Once on the Posts or Pages Section you click on Add New (top left and you are taken to a new Post or Page which will be in Edit Mode).

Enjoy your Friday.

Thank you Robert - an internet access issue in my quiet country area - and still very inconsistant service at the moment - I appreciate all the support and contacts and believe WA is just wonderful. Thank you again.
Kind regards
Sandy

Happy to help if and when I can.
Enjoy your Friday and the weekend to come.
Robert
