Hi, I'm Sandra, a selling author and a trained copywriter. I'm into dogs (all pets really), writing, and, oddly enough, U. S. politics. I'm Canadian, but my hubby is American, so maybe that makes it okay.

I love being of service to people and have devoted a good deal of my life to doing so. Generally a positive and enthusiastic person, I'm excited about plunging into the treasures of Wealthy Affiliate.

The thing about online success that I have come to learn is that there is room for ALL of us within the online world. There is no marketplace that is bigger and there is nowhere that represents this kind of opportunity, regardless of your niche, passions and interests (and it only continues to grow!!)

Take action on the training here at WA, immerse yourself within the awesome and helpful community here at WA... and ask for help when you need it. You will be well on your way to achieve your goals Sandra!

Hey there, am so happy you've completed your money goals, am sure they’re attainable. All the best, wish you success in your endeavors.

Please be aware this is not a rich quick scheme. It can take 3 - 6 months to see any income. This is a long term commitment and takes months of consistent work

Please follow the training and apply what is taught all is explained within the lessons. How to make money online video by Kyle As you go along the coursework, ask as many questions as you like to get clarifications, mark your question as community and someone will always be here to answer your inquiries. You can also blog your questions, that's the Pencil, top menu, choose Blog at WA. I believe there's a limit to blogging on the WA blog roll for the first three months.

Again you may like to post about why you choose WA, how you come about your niche, what are your goals for this week and the following, aspirations, etc.

Remember the WA community is no judgement. It is an open discussion. We help each other, we were all at one point where you are right now.

Welcome to WA..

Best wishes

Good morning and welcome to the WA family. I hope you are settling in and finding your way around.

Those are great goals that you have set yourself. Remember that this is a journey and not a destination. There is a lot of work ahead, so the more effort you put in, the more you will get out of it.

Enjoy the excellent quality training from Kyle and just ask if you have any questions, as we are all here to help you and each other to achieve our goals.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hi Kyle,

Yeah, I'm struggling a bit. Regarding niches, I have picked out 2. I would appreciate your help in narrowing it to one and then figuring out if it is too granulated to be successful.

1. DEALING WITH GRIEF OVER PET DOG'S PASSING.

I have had my heart broken many times over the last 13 years. Each of my beloved dogs who have passed has taken a piece with them. The first nearly did me in. I was recovering from surgery at the time, and the grief was suffocating. I found many aids for this grief, which I turned to in subsequent losses. I know many people have faced this trauma, and I would like to share what I know that will help them.

However, I am unsure of how to monetize this, other than memorial stones to commemorate a pet's passing (I have a "memorial garden" at the end of our backyard filled with peonies and the memorial stones, which is quite comforting). Yet, this niche is the one I am leaning towards since I am very passionate about dogs.

2. THE HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

I am totally passionate about the English language. I love it, am excited about finding and using the right words to tell a story, and am interested in the background and meaning of words...those deriving from the Anglo-Saxon languages or Latin, or more recent acquisitions from Russian, French, Chinese, etc. I would have to do a lot of research to make this niche accurate, but I would enjoy that.

There are a few drawbacks. 1. This niche has been done a lot and I would probably be repeating stuff that has already gone into other blogs or articles. 2. I would have to make sure that my information is absolutely accurate to avoid getting shot down by grammar Nazis. This is not as easy as it looks, since scholars often don't agree. However, monetization should be easy. After all, we're talking about writing here which equals books. I believe I can easily find businesses to affiliate with. And I can easily write some humor into this topic.

What do you think?

Your niche ideas are definitely viable directions for your niche. You need to choose one when starting out, what are you most passionate about?

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Hi, Kyle. I was disturbed by the belief that I had to pay $19/$49 per month to WA and $49 per month to Jaaxy upfront before having a chance to earn money. I have since seen (I think) that I do not HAVE to be a premium member with WA to earn money...just that it makes it easier, am I right? I do plan on purchasing my memberships as soon as I have enough money.

This stuck me for a couple of days before I did research. I think I'm unstuck now. 👍 Thanks for your offer to help.

Yes, you can earn money on the free membership. In saying this, generating money in the first week or month prior as a Starter is like having an your introduction course to becoming a surgeon and expecting to perform surgery within the first month.

The first month is typically your foundation-building stage. In order to build a website that earns you consistent revenue, you need this foundation. After this, you are going to start seeing traffic and as you build this out, there are many different ways in which you can generate revenue.

Personally, it took me into my 3rd month of busting my butt to make my first dollar online, by month 6 though I was making consistent income and by the year mark, I was almost full-time.

But guess what would have happened if I quit during those first two "trying" months or had instant revenue expectations. I would not be where I am at today (going on 17 years full time!). Just wanted to put things into perspective for you.

I am on this journey with you, so is the community here at WA. If you want to jump in, work hard, take action, and persist.

You will have some awesome things accomplished by the time you finish just the first 10 lessons of the getting started training and you will be prepared to build a very successful business online within the Premium membership.

But do upgrade at your own pace and take action on the tasks. Action is what will lead you to success!

Roope, I'm feeling discouraged. As I proceed in the lessons (now on lesson 2), I find that it's necessary to buy a premium membership for WA, at $49 per month. Then I find that Jaaxy requires you to pay for ITS premium membership right away if you want to use its services. That's another $49 per month.

I was not expecting this and feel somewhat taken advantage of. Not that I object to buying these items when I start making money, but not right upfront. There was no mention of this in the starting events. I was planning on subscribing to WA a little later. But I can't right now. That's why I was investigating how to make money. I have a $2000 credit card that I need to pay at least $72 per month to pay down. There's no way I can pay another $98 per month.

Tell me...is there a way for me to continue and delay getting those premium memberships until I am making money? Or must I quit? And look somewhere else?

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for your message!

You'll get Jaaxy included in the WA Premium membership so it's only $49/month including all the other benefits: Website hosting, community support, etc. => Super cheap for that value. Can't find any other place to get everything for so cheap.

I don't understand when you say, "I feel somewhat taken advantage of" when you've gots lots of training and a website for 100% free? :O

You can continue with the FREE membership too. But of course, you can go Premium anytime later too.
