Good to know...thanks

Wow, will have to keep an eye on this!

I can honestly say have had no problems with this, but then I set up another user under my name and do not use admin to log in

I sure hope that you get this issue resolved soon. It affects everyone here at WA! Just checked, and it's still there.

I just checked your site and it still has the malware on it. You put in a support ticket?

I assume you have changed your password, and I would be interested to know what it was.

We can all learn from that.

My password lengths now have been increased to 50 digits.

I think you need to PM Kyle and Carson...there are so many of us that they don't necessarily see all of our posts or questions but if you PM them, I'm certain they will alert their IT people and most likely respond to you. It's important so they do need to know.

You are right.

Hi SandJ!

You can change the name of your admin user by going to Users > Add New and adding a new user with any name you'd like - just make sure the new user is an administrator. You can use any email address you'd like - even a fake email address. Make note of the new user name and of the new password WordPress will assign.

Now log out of your WP site and log back in as the new administrator. As the new administrator, you can delete the old admin user - just be sure anything authored by the admin user is given to the new administrator you just created (WordPress will ask ;)

You can also edit the new administrator's account to change the fake email you used in the first paragraph, restoring it to the email address you'd like to have associated with your account.

You're good to go - and there's no longer an admin account to deal with!

Dennis

Agree with you Sand.

I've been in the WordPress space for years, and have by and large moved away from admin and personal password choices. Admin likely represents at least half the user community (half hacked) and passwords that aren't randomly generated can be relatively easy to hack.

Cheers to you and this watch out for the community.

Malware attacks. admin usser name bad idea?

Glad you got it resolved

The problem has resolved itself possibly because I did an overhaul of my computer to free up more space on the hard drive and as some of you suggested. Thanking all who offered help. This is what makes being a member here way better then elsewhere.

Stephen & Jennifer. She is still with me in the spirit world willing me on to success. Our love is eternal and we will be reunited there when it is my turn to depart this world.

I had the same problem and was almost ready to quit, but figured it out by googling the issue...First I cleared out my cache on google chrome,,,,that didn't work so I cleared it out in google.. shut down my compute and it looks ok to others now, but for me know the font is larger than I want it to be but I am working with it since it seems to be my PC.

There are a number of things to check and not all of them fix the problem. Try Kyle first then put in a ticket.

This is almost always an issue related to a plugin/theme that you have installed on your website. If you cannot see the editor after adding a plugin (WP Edit is often times one that causes this), then try deactivating your plugins that you manually added.

If that doesn't work, then you might want to contact support and see if they can help you out here.

This support is 24/7 and upon submitting your ticket we will look into it right away Stephen!

Clear your browsers cache, reboot computer - problem solved! Glyn

Close your browsers and start your session over.

Hi I had this problem about a month ago, put in a ticket to support ,they sorted it in about 20 minutes

Is the problem with your visual editor? Can you see it in your text mode editor? If so, then clear you cookies and caches ... that's how I have solved the problem a few times before.

Stephen has indicated that the problem has been solved.

A lot of people especialy those earning big bucks are using funnels in their lead capture squeeze pages with up sells, down sells to increase their online earnings whie creating

I do not know anything at all about them.

A lot easier if you look into my post below. all the biggest earning Guru's are using sales funnels to maximise earnings from each prospect to customer.

My personal favorite of all the methods I have looked at is http://Clickfunnels.com where they give you a 14 day free trial but ask for $47 for optional training then after the 14 day free trial $97 a month with their own hosting so you get all the latest updates as they say.

Anybody here using this system? It looks the best least costly option to me because of the many features included. I will still remain at WA regardless and maybe link some funnels to my sites here? The above is not my affiliate link but the main website in case anyone thinks I want to make money promoting this?

Buyer Beware!

the best funnel is the funnel you create yourself.

HEEEYYYY!! It looks interesting... Let me look in to it and keep you in touch. Private message me in a few days.

OK Will do but in case I forget you are welcome to contact me also.

Stephen & Jennifer.

Only if you have done it successfully and have a formula that produces results. Like all matters IM learning from others saves time and money otherwise whyare we here? To learn, to save time and money?

Sales 'funnels' can be a very loose term also. For example we ourselves here can create our own sales funnel to sell Wealthy Affiliate. In this instance we would want to do that to set ourselves apart from everyone else promoting WA and sending people directly to the WA sales page. In this instance a WA sales funnel for example could be TARGETED YOU TUBE VIDEO(to pre-condition and warm up audience)> CAPTURE PAGE(to gain email address)>BRIDGE PAGE(this is a useful addition to add a personal touch and to further add the 'know, like, trust' factor and further warm up lead) before sending them directly to WA sales page which is generic - a bridge page could be something like an embedded video & copy on the page (text and headline) - about your personal results with WA - maybe a 1st page ranking etc/ thoughts on the community etc> then send them to the WA generic sales page. Meanwhile, you have captured their email address by going through this sales funnel and then your autoresponder then can continue building a relationship with your lead AND to provide your own value in the market place - a tip etc or the promise of some personal training perhaps if they purchased from you. Good suggestions for email follow-up in this instance are to do say 5 more videos on different angles with Wealthy Affiliate - each going out on a different day - a lead would not want to see the same video 5 days in a row as they would feel bullied and most likely unsubscribe, yet if you can offer them different personal results or different examples of different selling points with WA - eg the different classrooms or different examples of what will be learnt - then they may be 'converted' into a sale....from what I have seen in my learning online is that every business needs to do sales funnels to take full advantage of automating processes. A sales funnel can 100% be manually created. The pages of the sales funnel can be created using a one off payment for a wordpress plugin called instabuilder2.0 - or if you have the funds for a monthly subscription to a page builder software then I know that clickfunnels by Russell Brunson is perfect. And Leadpages both do the job of building pages for a sales funnel. Click funnels also includes a merchant account processor for anyone wanting to be able to include taking payments in a funnel. Also leadpages is another option, yet personally , since the creation of clickfunnels (which came after leadpages) I would use clickfunnels. I need to add, this is my thoughts from my learning - I am currently just working on implimenting these exact strategies myself and will record some trainings :)

Just a quick tip alipope,

Try using paragraphs so what you post is easier to read. If you do likewise on your websites people won't bother to read it.

Stephen & Jennifer.

Hey, just becareful with those systems, only few respect your privacy! The most of the times it goes viral and suddenly, you will wake up one day with hundreds of email messages, maybe thousands. The "golden rules" on the website(s) in my profile are also valid for "funnel" systems".

Looks like Christabella may have you covered. If not try typing Funnel Strategies in the Search box above.

I just typed Funnel Strategies in the Search box and spotted five training sites.. check it out.

I hadn't heard about that but looks like you received a couple links to great info

Maybe this will help you

David Risley at blogmarketingacademy.com may have the info you need.

If you have a large email list go to clicksure or clickbetter they have a lot of programs that have funnels in them. But these are the ones that are usually scams so watch out. Also JVzoo
