You've already on the Amazon US & Canada affiliate program. So I wouldn't worry too much about not being accepted for the UK version. Life goes on.

What you need to be careful about is thin content. You just have the two pages with nothing but Amazon links. The UK site will have seen that and decided that it wasn't adding any value to a visitor. Which is true, if I wanted just to buy a book, I'd go direct to Amazon - and so would you.

Choose a few of the best selling books and write a review - 700 words or so - about it. One review per post. With just the link to that book.

The way Amazon.uk made it sound is all my amazon affiliates were discontinued. I am working on adding more content to my website.

Ah. OK. But what happens when you log into your Amazon US account. Does that say you've been banned?

That's what I also don't understand. It appears I still have access to both Amazon.ca and Amazon.com but the email from Amazon.uk clearly states that my application was denied to them and I will no longer be able to access my Amazon associates account. I figure they are either in the process of closing the account or if I do make a sale I won't be paid. Its all very confusing.

Wait and see. But if you've heard nothing from Amazon US or CA then I wouldn't worry at the moment. I would have thought Amazon UK couldn't close an account from another country. Just as they can;t open an account for you in another country. Countries handle it separately.

Good to know. Thank you for your response might be hope for me yet.

I think we would all like to know the answer. Your definition is exactly what I understood the Amazon link was supposed to do.

Wish I could help but am also interested to know the answer.

are they getting directed to the right amazon?

I have affiliate links clearly identified as Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. What I understand the problem is now is I have too many links and not enough content. I am working on correcting that issue now.

I have a siterubix website that I created when I first started called sharethewealth.siterubix.com. When I went to buy my own domain I found I could not buy the name sharethewe

Keep the original site so you can use it to try out themes and plugins without breaking your real website.

That won't work, Marion. Once the site has been moved from its original siterubix subdomain to a personally-owned domain, it is no longer accessible as a separate site.

Thanks Bob. I forgot about the redirects. That's my "Ooops!" for the day. Every time I say "Ooops!" I know I've learned something.

When you use the siterubix "Move" function to transfer a siterubix subdomain site to a personally-owned domain, a bit of code (a 301 permanent redirect) gets automatically installed on the old site by the WA software. With that code in place, any accesses of your old site (even your own) get redirected to your new site. In effect, the siterubix site no longer exists as a separate site.

You can leave the siterubix site in place as long as you'd like. There is no particular benefit to deleting it.
