Hi,
My name is Sam Cordero (my friends call me SamMi C). I'm a retired Chicagoan, currently residing in Japan with my wife. I still see myself as an IM newbie as I've attempted several programs but always come to the same stalemate -- What the "H" am I supposed to do next?

I really would love to show my wife that "Yes" I can make some extra money (a few Mil hopefully :)) with my online business... and NOT just keep handing money over to others.

My background is in business - self-employed most my adult life. I'm used to putting in whatever number of hours it takes to make my businesses succeed but the online business has yet to bear fruit for all the hours & money I've spent.

I look forward to getting to know you all (or at least as many as possible).

Best regards,

SamMi C

A quick note for all those wonderful WA members who have decided to follow me... Thanx Very Much.

Sorry if I don't get back to you right away but I'm sure you understand just how busy and even hectic trying to get things going can be. Especially if you lack a few "techie" skills - more like techie skills "period" and are at a point in life where you start doing things in slow motion just to be able to keep up.

You guys are all GREAT and I want you to know that I know that!

Wishing you all the greatest success.

Do you want to put some Banner Ads on your site but don't want them to show on all pages?

Here's what I just learned... It's a lot easier than you might think.

Simply go to -  https://profiles.wordpress.org/sswells#content-plugins

... OR ... Go to your Plugins ==> add New ==> Search: AH Display Widgets install and activate it... THAT'S IT, YOUR SET TO GO!

Now go back to widgets:
1.  Select the widget you want to manage what page it will show up on.
2.  Click the drop-down arrow.
3.  Scroll down and select "Show on checked pages" or "Hide on checked pages".
4.  Check the pages according to your selection (#3 above)
5.  Save  ...  You All Set!
6.  View your pages to make sure all went well (which it should).

No More Ads on Pages You Don't Want to See t\Them in.

Hi SamMi

Thanks so much for the follow, I'm following you back too :)

If you need some inspiration for your WA journey, feel free to check out my recent post:
I'm sure you'll agree, there's some awesome tools on here for Wealthy Affiliate members.

I use Jaaxy for all of my Keyword research and SiteContent to draft all of my posts for my website. Here's a little trick that will show you how beautifully these tools integrate and also SAVE you time:
Canva is also a great tool that's quite popular with other WA members, to design stylish graphics, like headers etc, for their websites.
Wishing you every success and feel free to drop me a line anytime!

WOW! Thanx so much for all the great info Karen. I'll make sure to make time to review it all.

I'm familiar with Canva and actually used it to create my logo for SamMiCor.com

I'm kinda like in the middle of feeling stuck and being stuck with the setup of my website and how best to monetize it but considering I've only been with WA for one month I think it's coming along well.

Best wishes and success,

Thank you Sam for the follow and many blessings to you here at WA. As a Premium Member you are now in the process of creating content for your affiliate marketing website.

It is important to fully understand how you should go about creating that content that will produce high Google rankings. Using low competition keywords is only a small part of the process.

Google has a set of guidelines for people creating content on their affiliate marketing websites. They do not like affiliate sites that are heavy on the selling and light on the help.

Though this may not occur to you in the beginning of your affiliate marketing journey, offering help instead of selling to your website visitors will yield more sales.

When you have some time, read the brief training at the link below which will explain Google's guidelines in a more simplistic way. When you help instead of sell, you will see better results.

SamMi C,

I noticed that you earned the First Website badge. Congrats!

If you have your own domain, congrats on that as well. If you don't and you are wondering how to tie in a domain name to your niche, let me know. Maybe I can help with a couple of suggestions.

I also have access to 1000's of .clip art .gif images as well as 1000's of photo selections that may not be offered at WA. I will share with anyone that is interested.

I am not a graphic artist by any means, but I do dabble a bit in logo making and image manipulation when I get the energy. I will offer this to you as well if you need it.

When you have the time, visit my profile page and click on the link to my website, shown at the right side of my profile page towards the bottom. Many, but not all, of the images I have made in my graphics program.

Cheers and carry on!

Hey, RVsRock!

First, I'd like to say thanx for your kind words and gracious offers. Might want to take you up on that. I'll make time to check out your site.

Actually, I am an ex-graphic artist (lettering was my specialty). That was my career field with the Air Force - long... long ago :). but I still enjoy design and actually took up a notch when I live in Chicago in the 80s by taking on home remodeling and design (total gutouts).

I look forward to checking out your designs. Hopefully, once I get a bit freed up, I'll be able to share thoughts and ideas more readily. Right now, however, I'm busy working on my eBook, WA & other things I already had going. But things are starting to calm down for me a bit - next step... put it all into play and watch the BIG bucks roll-in - - I hope :).

Again thanx, hope to talk again soon.

Hello SamMi C...and thanks for the following.

I personally wish you much success here at WA.

Not sure what other online gigs you have tried, but I can testify that WA is the top and best in it's field.

You mention that you are used to "putting in hours" to make a business succeed. Well, it will take that here, but they are enjoyable hours. And if you follow the training and advice of Kyle, Carson and many others, you will make some major money.

Welcome here at WA!

Hey, RVsRock!

Thanx. Yep! I have worked other programs and actually am still working one other. Through a link in that program, I was introduced to WA.

I just completed the course for the other program and can now focus my attention on WA. I see value in both so I do plan on continuing with both.

As for the number of hours I put in, well, I can only say that if I could increase the number of hours in a day from 24 to 30 I most definitely would. I'm retired and time is (probably) my greatest asset right now so I'm committed to spending whatever amount of time it takes me to get my online businesses up and producing income.

I do understand that this is not about getting rich 'easy' but one could make it a get rich 'quick' (with a twist to defining "quick") - meaning if you do all the things required of you, you could wake up one morning to a big paycheck. Kinda like those baseball players Japan has been sending to MLB. they woke up one day with a big fat contract ("quick")... but it actually took them years of dedication (not to mention not such great pay) to get there.

Let's make WA our MLB of IM.

Success!

Hey... Just wanna say hello to everyone.

I've been off the radar for a bit cause I've been setting up for my March marketing campaign. I know... I know... getting things out there is more important than getting things perfect - well like they say, the only thing you can't change is time - only 24 hrs in a day. I've been using up as many of those hours as possible preparing my marketing materials... Yep, I'm a one-man team, I'm sure many of you know what that's like.

Anyway, my website SamMicor.com has improved some, my eBook is "completed", and my articles and emails are, well, coming along just fine. I'll be sure to let you all know soon as I make my first $1 (hopefully 6 zeros will follow it)... :).

Wish you ALL great success!

Hey, Guys.
Thanx for the warm welcome. I do have a question (well, actually not just one-but for now...): How do I do I change the page Title on my site to be different from the navigation tab names? If anyone knows and can help me out I would really appreciate it. This is the link to my site: http://bellyfatgrinder.siterubix.com

Hi Sam,
I've had a look at your site, in relation to your question. It looks to me to be a feature of the theme you're using.

Changing page titles etc., is done from WordPress Dashboard, mouse over "appearance" select customize, from there select which you'd like to customize.

What theme are you using?

Hello SamMiCor

Congratulations on going Premium.

I just wanted to say that while there is much value to be had here at Wealthy Affiliate, it can sometimes seem very overwhelming, with everything that has to be done.

My advice from experience is to focus totally on one of the training directions, the green certification OR the Bootcamp, and to stick with that until you have finished it.

Wishing you every success with your business.

Thank you for your reply and question Sam. Did you create your website within Wealthy Affiliate? Either way, you can ask for a new password, use email address that you set your website up with. Maybe this will possibly help: Don't forget you can ask the whole community a question, in normal cases you will receive a reply very promptly.

I hope this helps.

Hello Sami C! You and I have a lot in common! I was born and raised a Chicagoan except for the time I lived in Japan for a year. Without a doubt the best time of my life was teaching English out of an apartment near the Shibuya District in Tokyo. Nothing but great memories of the Japanese and their culture. So my hats off to you SamiC, I wish you the best and hope you are enjoying life in Japan!

Lets be friends? I want to know what you're doing over there and why you choose to live out your retirement in such a beautiful place. Its something I've considered too since I've always wanted to go back.

All the best,

Ronbo

Hey Ronbo. Thanx for the follow and absolutely, let stay in touch. I'm happy to know you enjoyed your stay in Japan. I made a lot of trips to Shibuya in my younger days. This is my 3rd stay here. The first was 6 1/2 years with the AF and for almost 2 years after my separation. The second was due to my wife's mother being diagnosed with cancer (that was for 10 years), and then this time since 2016.

Our two sons both live in Japan and we have 3 grandkids here. So as beautiful as our house and Florida were, the decision was made to return to Japan. I have an English & Spanish language school. We have a house - I don't care at all for apartments in Japan, really tight living... and yes they still hang their laundry out to dry on the balcony :).

But of course. I wouldn't be here if I didn't like Japan, the people...and love the food. I also enjoy the view we have of the mountains. In particular, the view we have of a ski resort, Mt. Zao (check it out online). The city where I live is called Yamagata - famous for rice, fruit, and most of all its "ramen".

A tit-bit lengthy... Hope I didn't bore you.

Rooting for your success,

SamMi C

Definitely will keep in touch, SamiC, and no I wasn't bored at all! I checked out Mt Zao - the "snow monsters" look amazing! The images I've seen...wow! I envy you!

Noticed you started here recently as well. Hows that going for you? Did you find your niche yet? If so, have you found a domain name? I've been going through the Training Course, currently on Course 1 Lesson 4. I've known my niche before starting here but I didn't know what to do next. I bought a domain name yesterday and currently setting up the websites "theme" in Site Manager. So yah, I've made some progress and feeling pretty good!

All the best to you and your family.

Cheers,
Ronbo

Yeah, those snow monsters are really a sight. I use to go to Zao "a lot" back in the 80's & 90's and had the opportunity to see them close-up. I've been up to Zao this time but haven't gone skiing People here, unlike in the US, think that once you get old - like me- you shouldn't do those things...I know, weird.

I do have a niche, actually 3 + a product (or idea) I plan on promoting as a vendor... hopefully launching next month. I'm more in the (what they say are saturated) niches of Health, Wealth & Romance (HWR). I have a makeshift site with Wix (I'm writing my HTML for my real site as I type this message. Check it out if you get a chance "SamMiCor".

My own product is "IMerArticles" (that's Internet Market'er'). I've found that a lot of people seem to have a difficult time producing good quality 'written' material - so I'm going to give it a shot. I know there are lots of article writing services out there but the cost is prohibitive for many.

I already have over 200 articles written for the relationship niche that I will start making available. I'm also putting together an ebook for my HWR niche.

I too have been setting up my WA site and going through the course. maybe we can chat sometime... Are you on Skype (SamMi1076)?

I think WA is an excellent program put together very well by Carson & Kyle... Just gotta stay the path and not get too ahead of ourselves if we are to make the best of it and have success with it. I won't be able to go premium yet cause I have too much money already tied up and committed elsewhere. I will though, first chance.

Hang in there and keep working at it ...

Yeah...nice and cold and lots of snow where I live, not to mention a beautiful ski resort "Zao", which is a huge volcanic mountain starting to burp. I love it but not sure how long I'll be here. Hi Sammi!

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate! I'm Edward from MasterMyFinance. You signed up through my site so I thought I'll introduce myself. I created my website in mid 2015 and have been working on it using my spare time after work (I'm still holding a full time day job). I'm currently making a little more than $1,000/mth from it, plus a couple hundred dollars more from 2 other niche sites.

I plan to quit day job and focus work online full time when I hit $3,000/mth, and I'm on track for it. As long as you're committed to make this work, you'll succeed online.

To get started, you should upload a picture and write a short description of yourself here: http://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile. Treat it as a social website and make friends, because there are a lot of awesome people in this community!

You'll learn a lot here, but for now just focus on the Online Entrepreneur Certification training. Follow the training one step at a time and you'll have your own website up and running in no time.

Now that you are in a legitimate online business community, it's time to stop chasing the rainbows, settle down and learn to make money online the proper way. Talk to you soon!

Thanx Edward. Your support means a lot to me. I'm currently working on other programs (which seem to be going nowhere) so I will be giving WA my full commitment. Hope to be able to stay in touch with you and not just get lost in the shuffle as so often is the case with other programs.

So you know, I currently spend most of my day and often late at night working other programs I'm currently involved in...I will now allot most of my time to WA. Hopefully eventually ALL of my time.
