What's the proper avenue to file an appeal regarding SiteComments?

Thank you, @JKulk1 for your comment. I honestly am on the brink of feeling gaslighted.

It's a sigh of relief, because at least from my perspective, it's not just about a petty rating, but it's actually more than that.

It's downright manipulation of the system and I don't think dismissing it would be right and just for every member. I believe that someone's rights should never be detrimental to another. And groupthink is equally detrimental.

Sure we can dismiss a poorly written article, or edit a lousy comment, but to take off something from someone (not to mention Premium member) just because you want traffic for a non-existent/contentless post? Come on. How's that for site trust? Google is getting intelligent by the day! :-0

WA is reviewed as hosting lousy websites generating non-related comments for traffic. Sure the best writers/veterans here can PR that. But really, do we like awfulness to propagate? (just throwing a rhetorical question out in the universe)

If this spam-like behavior gets tolerated, they will replicate like a virus, and we are all accountable. Vigilance comes with a social price, if I may say.

If that disapproval reason seems rational, then I don't know if SiteComments is a real deal as I initially perceive it to be. Turn a blind eye for what, dollars? Wiw, my third world sensibilities are shookt. Honestly, I got irked because the commenters on that post are the best certified commenters I've seen. They commented on my site too and hands down, they don't deserve just pennies. And they don't deserve to be served with a zero-character post right smack in the middle of their momentum.

What makes it important to reach out to this person--kinda condescending and less compassionate to call out someone how not to be himself, perhaps? But hey, why not. I am willing to do so and say hello, world! Hihi. (Teach me, how do I find thee? I hope he/she reads this)

Anyway, I messaged Kyle already. It's the right avenue, I presume. I asked the community to confirm "there's no way," "let it pass" before I hit the Contact Kyle button. I am hoping for a response (for grounding), if not action. Thank you everyone. Much love to the Ambassadors.

I vote for world peace too, and I appreciate the discussion. I also don't like to get out of this platform sooner and write a super duper honest honest review of WA just because I strongly uphold a value perhaps inherent of an idealistic newbie. Hehe.

Cheers!

I don't understand why anyone would ask for comments on a 'No content' site.

It is something I would contact Kyle/Carson about.

I agree with you, it shouldn't be possible to ask for a comment unless you have an actual article to comment on.

I would wonder about their motive.

All the best. Jim

Hi there,

If it were me I would just let it go and focus on other website comments.

I have also had numerous scenarios where my comments were disapproved for no good reason and it really hurts because it shows the algorithms of WA that you are not a serious person which can hurt you in the long run.

But what I do is mark the website where the comment I made was disapproved, try to reach out to the owner and know what the problem was or avoid commenting on the websites in the future if they don't give a pleasant response.

I hope this helps. :)

Cheers

This is an evergreen topic.I think it is up to the one who request the comment to decide if they want to accept the comment or not. It is in their right to do so. I think it is better to communicate with the person who disapproved you to get an answer. I get very many generic and low quality comments and I just disapprove if it does not measure up to what I asked for ( question, discussion, experience, opinion) or I know for a fact that this person use the same script every time while commenting. I also got quality comments on a totally different subject than the article was about and disapproved them.

Hi - there is no appeal process. Under the comments box, there is a Report Site button which you could have used, and marked it as "other" when it asks for a reason.

Or you could simply have clicked off the Site Comments page, and come back to it later, when hopefully a different website would be available. You are not obliged to offer a comment on every post that this is presented to you.

It all sounds very bizarre, but there is nothing you can do about it.

That's what I do too. I skip websites, I don't push it even if I am in the mood to receive a credit, and if I have nothing to say about the post. But in this case, I have something to say, and it's honest feedback to improve. I also added something about the site topic too. It's not 100% about not having content. :-(

Anyway, thanks for the response. I just feel a tad bit discouraged to stay here if that would be normalized. Still hopeful tho. Thank you dear ambassadors! ;-) Moving forward...

Hi, is it possible to host another website under my account here at WA? I read about it but I stumbled upon the 25 sites vs. 10 (I know 10 is the current, right?) and other inf

Hello there,

If I understand you correctly, you want to have your sister's website under your account but still keep your own privacy, right?

Well, if that's the case, here is what I would recommend you do.

First, you should consider getting your sister to join WA under her own account. That is the best way to make sure your privacy is 100% secure.

About the issue of the websites, you can host up to 10 websites with WA. When you buy a domain, you just proceed to build the website.

The FTP and DNS settings are set up fast here on wealthy affiliate so you don't need to worry about that.

If you already have the website and want to move it here in WA, you can reach to WA support to help you with that based on the hosting that the website is currently under.

Also, you can open your WordPress admin area without necessarily having to log in to WA first.

In the site manager page, you will see all the websites you have here on WA, along with their login information.

You can grab the information (the username and password) and use it to log in to your admin area.

I hope this helps.

Cheers. :)

Thank you! :-)

Interesting question, following

Hey A,

Yes, technically as a premium member you can have 10 websites.

I find it easiest to refer to the top banner on: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/banners (See zoomed in screen print below...).

Those 10 sites can be a mixture of SiteRubix sites, subdomains and registered domains.

The clincher is this... if your customer is operating a local business, then their site needs to be hosted close to their location so that their website will appear in Google search results for their area. This is the number one EASIEST ways to rank locally... though there is a LOT more to ranking locally than just this.

However, if they too will be having a blog with affiliate links, then the WA servers are perfectly located for this use.

Hope you find this helpful.

Thank you so much. I appreciate it. :-)

Hi, I have seen from my bit.ly dashboard that I've got quite a number of clicks from a certain country. But from Google Search Console it shows that I have no clicks from that

Hello there,

I believe I can help with that.

The data you see on Google search console is mostly the visits you get from Google, that is, someone searched for something on Google and landed on your website. It could also be your own visits to your website.

It is worth noting that there are also differences in data between Google Search Console and Google analytics.

So you can try to look up the data from bit.ly in Google analytics. There is a chance you will see it there in detail.

I hope this helps.

Cheers. :)

It does! As always! Thank you so much. Guess I would have to complete my Google Analytics Academy training too. What I only know is that Search Console reveals how ppl get to your site, while Analytics reveals what they do inside (from Jay's training). Other than that I think would have to learn more how I can work with the data they provide. After the 1st assessment in Analytics Academy I found myself not going back yet--my brain can't take it anymore! Too much info, so I decided to just ask it around here.

Anyway, thank God for techie people around here. Thank you, Oscar.

Cheers,
A

Google Search Console only provides data around searches performed on its search engine. Have you checked your Google Analytics data for all traffic sources?

Would typing it in the Google Analytics search bar would do? I typed in my country so it reveals info about the # of users in my country--more or less the same with the bit.ly data. So I typed in the country that puzzles me in bit.ly, and it says 0 users! And it was the right date range. Woaah weird.

I guess I would have to learn more about Google Analytics then, so I can fully understand this. Maybe changing the View in Analytics could do the trick, or perhaps I clicked on something which I should've not. I have quit (for now) in the Google Analytics Academy coz my brain gets toasted there quite quickly.

But right now, both Oscar's and your answers greatly enlightened me--I missed the part that it tallies Google clicks only! *facepalm*

Thank you so much for these quick answers. I really appreciate it. I like being here coz of helpful peeps like you!

Cheers,
A

You don't have to, but search some of the other posts on here about how people were trying to retrieve their posts entered straight into Wordpress, then accidentally lost. I always do my posts in word first, so I've always got my copy in case Wordpress burps.

Thank you so much!

Hey there,

Feel free to write on the WordPress admin area, if you feel like that is your right fit.

Site content is a great feature to write and manage. your content but you are not obligated to use it if you feel it is adding more work.

Personally, before I started using SiteContent, I was using EverNote just for reference purposes. And before that, I used WordPress too.

I think it is all about what you feel comfortable with at the end of the day.

So, go ahead and work WordPress. :)

As always, thank you for your insights! I appreciate it. - A

You are welcome.

This is totally up to you. Many of the more experienced bloggers build their content directly in WordPress. With site content you have the advantage of keeping tabs on exactly how many words you have written. Jim

Great to hear that. Thank you very much for your input. :) - A

Hi there,

I understand what your saying. I like it too when we can be more efficient in our content creation.

I always write my draft on SiteContent for these reasons:
1) We will be notified via email from Wealthy Affiliate for when the post gets indexed in Google.
2) The ABC feature for spelling, punctuation, grammar check.
3) I can find pictures easily because WA has integrated tons of pictures from at least 3 websites like pexel.com, pixabay.com, unspalsh.com, etc, so I won't have to search it separately (I still go and use other websites to get royalty-free images if I cannot find it there, but it's minimal work).
4) It has the word and headings counts.
5) Last but not the least, it will save our work and so we will minimize the risk to lose our work.

We'll see what other members will say.

Have a great week,
Ferra

Thank you for this detailed enumeration of your pros and cons. Much appreciated. - A

You're welcome. 🙂👍

Hi - you can publish directly in WordPress if you prefer. The only benefits of using Site Content is that it will let you know when your post is indexed by Google, and it has a spelling and grammar checker. And it keeps stats of posts published, word count.

If you post directly in WordPress, the content doesn't transfer back to Site Content.

Thank you for this quick response! Very much appreciated. :)
