I have a problem with my homepage and product pages. I have a gap between the last templet and footer. I have tried to adjust padding and the footer doesn't give me any options

Hi Richard.
Seems like you need to disable a few widgets to troubleshoot and see what is causing the main content area wrapper to distort.
Is this how you want it to look? See image attached

Start by removing your background image...social widget etc.

I was able to do this by commenting out the .entry-footer class
but it seems there is a conflict with panel-grid panel-has-style for the social panel.

Yes that the way the way i wanted it to look. I will try to remove some things and see if it works.. thanks

ok What i found that was cause the issues was on the page settings. I had both the product page and the home page set on "full width" on the templet settings. I changed the settings to front page on both pages and the distortions are gone.. Don't really know why but its gone.. thanks for checking it out for me.

I am glad that you got through. Thanks for letting us know.

Cheers!
David

I went to the home of the theme here...https://athemes.com/theme/sydney/
clicked on demo and scrolled to the bottom.
It looks like it may be a place designed into the theme for social icons. I would look in widgets first, and maybe contact theme support

Yes, that's right.

I will I check them out and see it they have any suggestions.. thanks

This may seem silly, but i have struggled with posts/blog. I have no problem creating a post, but where this gets frustrating for me is actually getting on the website in the b

It depends on how you have your website set up. If it's setup so that the home page is your blog roll, then by default all the posts you make will be added there. Some, like myself, have a static page homepage, which means that instead of being greeted by a blog roll, my audience is greeted by a static page where they can then navigate to my posts.

When you write your posts, you'd probably want to categorize them by their content instead of just putting all of them into the "blog" category. Most will have a handful of main categories and each post will go into a specific one of those main categories. If you just put them all in one category "blog" then there's no real point in categorizing them.

Thanks for the reply.. yes i will categorize them. With my particular niche' they are interrelated where one condition usually dove tails with another. I am working with mental health causes and triggers with real solutions on minimizing or shortening episodes.

The trouble I was having was getting additional posts to post lol. The stressing of the settings that Terry shared should be really stressed much more in WA certification course. Well I hope you have a great week.

Glad you figured it out.

When you are creating in site rubix it is either post or page. The problem tends to be that you need to create a tab in a menu for them to show. Can you post a link to your site so I can look at it. Here is one of mine to give you an idea

https://mental-health-treatments.com/

Pages are stand alone where as posts tend to be a collection of an assortment of articles

That is what i am trying to do also.. I cant seem to get the my blogs to cascade like that and not sure what to do..

https://livingstressfree.net/blog

if you look my page which our content is surprisingly similar you can see what I'm talking about. I made some pages under the blog as pull down menu but I really want to have my articles in the actual blog page like yours is..

K, there is a setting in your site - setting - reading - it will ask between a static page or your latest blogs, pick the latter

my menu consists of categories just to make it easier to navigate. To be honest I am not crazy about your background as it makes it hard to read. Not sure how Google is going to react to having so many affiliate links on your front page

Terry I really appreciate that.. That was a setting i never knew about or at least don't recall seeing.. that worked and now I can go and play with it a bit.. thanks again.. Rich

really.. well i could remove them and leave it the product link to the page.. its a work in progress

I am trying to set up a domain specific email. I've been going around in circles with site support.. they are answering too fast and not reading whole issue. Ok, so here is the

You found out how to transfer your siterubix to your paid domain right? Anytime you have a question, the easiest way to find the answer is to either type the issue into the smart bar and all kinds of topics will come up to answer it, or do as most do and ask in live chat. With live chat you can explain your questions with a bit more clarity and you'll get your answer in real time. When they don't have the answer they'll direct you with how to ask support.

Stick with the training and take it step by step :) Don't skip anything cuz it's in those moments where you'll inevitably miss out on a crucial point and you'll be going around in circles later, lol.

yes thanks I will. I did find that link and working on making sure my
elementor templets are saved lol

You're doing great. Keep it up. You are ultra focused. Keep making great use of this community.

You can only create email addresses for own domains, not siterubix subdomains, sorry!

so do i need to transfer it off somehow? I don't want to redo the whole site.

Hey thanks again for the response.. man sometimes its tough to get answers if you don't have the exact wording. Is there a way to get the site email site to have the kyle video (How to Transfer Your SiteRubix Website To a Domain you Own) linked right there to help answer these questions? It took quite a bit of time to find at least for me to locate it. I did buy a premium domain it would be helpful to put that not on the email function with the above video link.

So I've built a gravitar account, added it, and have hit the earn credit to offer comments. I wanted to get comments but it seems there are no offers or sites to comment and no

Lol big circle to nowhere? Lol Did you figure it out yet? Click on offer comments and an article comes up and you follow the instructions and go from there. Great spot to earn credits you can turn around and use for comments. Each and every time you publish an article you'll want to get comments for it asap. I'll usually get 5 comments from the SiteComments section and another 5 from the comments forum. When you respond to all of those you'll have 20 total. It's a great way to get your article active. Here's the comments forum:

lol it started working. What was happening is I did the tutorial set up the account.. wouldn't let me request comments and would give me anyone to comment on.. and was redoing every step as few as it was over and over and nothing lol big circle.. But Mike said it take sometime before it gave someone and that's what it did.. took about 5 mins and been fine every since.

Spectacular! SiteComments is not only a great spot to get credits, but by seeing other people's sites you can see what you like and what you don't like about other people's work. I gained a ton of inspiration working through SiteComments. Take full advantage of it and always use it after publishing.

Yes, you will have to hit the offer comments button and just let the circle complete.

Sometimes it takes a few seconds to completely load but it will and then you can continue on to view their page and make comments.

I hope this helps

Mike

Thanks I will try it again.

You're welcome Richard!

You were right it took some time for something to show up.. thanks again for your help.

My pleasure.

Hey, Richard, good evening to you. I also use pretty links. You can also use Google URL Shortener at https://goo.gl/.
Ken

ty I will look into it.

ok ok so I figured it out. SO there are 2 types of links in my case. 1 with image that's a clickable link and its in html code.. that at my level can't mask it.
2 a text link is also offered but need to see what the affiliate site is looking for to take the root including your id to be credited and then use pretty links or thirsty affiliates type of plug in. the later I see I have to cut and paste picture and add a button with the new shortened button.. ugh.

I'm not sure if I understand you questions here, but all you have to do is take your entire affiliate link and create a pretty link. The pretty link will be yourdomain.com/whateveryouwanttonamethelink and anytime you click on that pretty link, you'll be redirected to your affiliate link. It's cloaked and much "prettier".

Just copy the whole affiliate link and you're good. You can test the pretty link by clicking on it and you'll see you're taken to the affiliate link.

No real need to try and cloak an image link. It's basically already made pretty with the image instead of having a long affiliate link typed out.

Thx, those examples and plugins helped me figure it out.

or is that a pro feature lol

so I removed info to post this. but when looking at the link how do I shorten this as to keep affiliate info to get credit?

Amazon provides a shortened link. It is one of the options when you click to get your link for a product. And as others have suggested, there are many tools for shortening links. You can also get a free plugin which will create domain specific links for you. Just search on wordpress dot org for affiliate link cloaking.

Thank you guys, did get that plug in and watched a youtube video tutorial. But it did not quite answer my issue. Here is 1 link I have:(I blocked out my ID)

https://store.******.***/emwave2/">

I use Pretty Link. It's a free plugin and works perfectly for shortening those affiliate links down.

Thanks I will look it up.

No prob.

Yes, use the Word Press plugin called "pretty links". It allows you to create your own redirect links.

Kyle has included Pretty Links in the training: Check it out here TD

Thanks I will look it up.
