Just Finished Writing A Novel.A Dream Come True!
I finally did it! I wrote a fantasy romance novel! I'm still in the editing process but I look back on a few months ago when I started writing and it was something I just never thought I would do... and here I am! I wanted to share this with all of you because it all started with WA. Learning how to blog and developing my writing skills by writing content consistently inspired me enough to try to start writing my novel. My confidence level grew a little every day but there were a few of you in this wonderful community that told me to just start writing...and I did. :)
Writing My First Novel
A few months ago, I sat down in front of my laptop and looked at a blank page. What happened next was unexpected. I just started typing. I don't know where everything was coming from but the story just exploded on the screen. I couldn't stop typing, to the point where the tips of my fingers were sore. The characters in my head came to life before my eyes. It may sound funny, but my main character started to almost tell me what needed to happen.
I found myself laughing at times and crying at other times, feeling the characters emotions, which were raw and powerful. It surprised me in many ways as writing a book has always been just a dream and now, here I am fulfilling a dream that may have never happened had I not joined WA. The education and support that I have received from WA has changed my life in ways that I never expected.
I Finished My Novel. Now What?
My next step is sending my book to an editor and then getting it published, with my ultimate goal of holding my own book in my hands and knowing that I did something that I never thought I could do. Through this learning process, I ignored my self doubts, stepped out of my comfort zone, and just started writing what was inside of me, with the end result of completing the book.
Seriously, I had tears in my eyes when I typed, "The End." It was an amazing feeling of accomplishmet. I still have days wondering if readers will enjoy the story but I believe that is a normal feeling for many writers and is something many of us have to overcome.
Follow Your Dreams
Have you stepped outside your comfort zone? Are you following your dreams? Life is too short to not follow the path you were destined for. Listen to that little voice inside that is telling you what that is. Fear of the unknown can be scary but that is the only way that change can occur in our lives. If we want change, then we have to change. My thoughts anyways. I found my path. Where is your path taking you?

Congrats on achieving your dream and on giving WA credit for providing that extra boost of determination.
If I may suggest, you can perhaps make your book into a digital product by having audio/video versions of it read by either yourself, another person or even one of the free programs which convey text to voice.
You can then market it to potential buyers, offer chapters of it as a teaser bonus to potential referrals, etc. Just my humble suggestions.
I recently saw a video in which some medical white paper mumbo jumbo video read by a text to voice program had garnered millions of views in YouTube so there is surely a market and appetite for almost anything out there.

Writing a full novel is on my bucket list so I think it's awesome you've achieved it.
Remember that getting published can often be a challenge, especially as the industry has had to change to meet the challenge of ebooks.
I recommend that you take a look at self-publishing your book on Amazon KDP. It's super easy and you could tap into the lucrative Kindle Unlimited market.
I realise you might not have written your book to necessarily make money but if you're okay with that, take a look at KDP.
