Do You Write Your Posts In Site Content Or Wordpress?

It may just come down to a matter of preference but curious to know if you use "Site Content" or if you write content directly in "Wordpress". For me, I like "Site Content" because I started off that way when I originally started the training so it's comfortable for me. I like that I can see the number of words written, create templates, and add images but most of all, I especially like that it saves my content where I left off. I recently was in the middle of writing a post in "Site Content" and my laptop had an issue and had to be restarted. It had saved all of my content from the last word I wrote.

I also like that it shows all of my posts right on the "Site Content" page, with each post showing the number of words written below. I guess I just became more comfortable with it as I know some of my fellow WA-er's don't care for it and would rather write content directly in "Wordpress". Which do you like to use and why?

Cheers,

Renee :)

Site content because I like to go back in often to edit things and with WordPress, it's more steps to get to the point where I can work fast.

Very true. I love being able to go back in and edit quite easily. Thanks for sharing. ☺️

I start in the site content and finish it in Word Press. Site content is a good place for me to get my thoughts going and then Word Press is where I continue to add to the post/page.

I've done both. I started out with Wordpress, but I found it to be less efficient than SiteContent. Now, even when I forget certain edits and have to make them in Wordpress, I don't like it.

From time to time, I write directly into Wordpress to optimize posts or to do things like that, but I do most of my writing for my websites in Sitecontent.

I like how easily you can add images (even when you upload them). I like tracking my output and goals. I like the interface. I like the autosave and the interlinking features. I'm sure there's more I haven't named, but overall, I'm a big fan of SiteContent.

☺️

I write everything in Word first, then transfer to SiteContent, tweak it some, then publish, then final edits in WP.

I use Wordpress 90% of the time because I find it easier to edit the post.

I use site content as it comes with 1,000,000 free images and great templates I love site content

I am also a Wordpress Classic Editor fan, because I had always done it that way before WA came along. I just find it easier and I can Save the draft so nothing gets lost.

Renee, Like you, I have been using Site Content since my first post 6 months ago. And basically for the same reasons. I have the templates already there plus I can add additional templates. The word count.
I like the Buckets where I can keep an arrangement and the Added feature of Published Articles also shows the Colored Google symbol after the article has been indexed.
Then you have the Spell check which I used all the time. About a month ago I started using Grammarly for spell checking and it does not work in Site Content.
And I have noticed here in the last few days Spell Check is not 100% accurate.
When I publish an article and go to WordPress to check and Edit the article, seems like there have been a few misspelled words in the last week or two.
I am also still using the Classic Editor in WP. I didn't understand Gutenberg so I just reverted back.
Maybe someday.

Good info Sonny. Thanks for sharing. :)

I actually write my posts in OpenOffice so I can leave and come back to it easily. I copy and paste into WA, then re-edit in WP

I like using the WordPress Classic Editor for most of my posts. Probably just my personal taste because that's what I did when I first got started blogging previous to joining WA.

I do love the site content page when I need to use templates to put together Privacy Pages and similar content. But, for the most part, I just use the WordPress option.
