Selecting a niche

I listened to Kyle’s idea on niche selection. Choosing something in which you have an interest or passion is sensible but is it viable?
Why wouldn’t a prospect just google it and probably be directed to amazon or other retailer?
A micro niche that he was suggesting would not seem to have enough prospects or products to generate much affiliate revenue.
What opportunities for upsell would be possible within a micro niche or would I use the micro niche for initial contact and then expand to a larger niche to enable further product sales?
In acting as an affiliate, should I simply promote the product using promotional literature from product source or review it to develop me (my company) as a trusted brand?
Sorry for such long winded question but any advice would be appreciated.

How to check our website is Google indexed or not ?

If you create your content within sitecontent, WA will send you a notification when it's indexed. But if you create your content within WordPress, you will need to check in your Google search console.

Please send about site content details...

Not actually having a niche site other than MMO (make money online), I will answer this the best I can.

First, if they are on your site, you become a product expert by either using a product and reviewing. Or you have read other reviews and take the pros and cons of all the reviews and give your recommendations.

Upsells are not really an issue...because we aren't really selling at least not in the formal sense. We have sites to build trust with our visitors and through the affiliate links you get sales or commissions, usually from your affiliate partnerships.

Your primary focus is on the relationship as a trusted brand...focus on that first.

Hope I answered your questions...and if I got any of it wrong...hopefully someone else will offer up some input as well.

I wish you the best!
Bob

Good questions.

I don't know if you have come across Jay's training yet where he does the case studies on the football snack helmets - which is very much a micro niche. He does end up expanding out to other football merchandise.

Once you learn how to successfully monetize one micro- niche site, it is common to start a second one and so on.

If you focus on a website that promotes high dollar items, like I do with my real estate site, you do not need as much traffic to earn a good income. (I am able to do this as real estate broker.) You also go long periods with no sales.

Yet, the niche you choose will always be a balance between the costs of the product and quantity sold. You will always be able to sell more products that cost less because they cost less. Yet, to make an adequate income you need more traffic per website.

From a product promotion perspective, my opinion as a consumer is that you will be much more successful in the long run if you know the product, or product category, and can offer readers insight that they can not find else where on the internet.

Best wishes!

Good points, you are genius. I also agree with this. Yes, do review products you've insider info on by using. The owners manual would be a good resource for helping create bullet points or numbered lists that Google oogles (likes). Very good questions 🙂
Kind Regards,
Nurse Becca
