WA has provided us with a number of affiliate programs to choose from. Can anyone provide some guidance as to how to go about choosing a program to promote - say in the health
Thank you to Kaju, Dave, and Keisha for attempting to answer my question. I realize that my question is not clear though.
I know where to find the WA affiliate program recommendations. However, when I check out, say, the health and fitness niche there, can I choose to promote any product there? Or do I have to apply to the owner for permission to promote their product?
Additionally, is there a way to know what products are more profitable to promote, or do I go by gut instinct?
There is a link that says Follow, what is the purpose or benefit of following a product?
Hope that I am clearer now.
Thank you for helping.
Russell

The way I choose my affiliate programs are looking up average pricing, if it fits my niche, and I look at the reviews. You can apply for many different programs, so just researching ones that fit your niche, and have things that you would like to promote to your audience.
Hope this helped some.

Hi guys,
For a long time now I have been hearing that then money is in the list. However, I don't have a list and as you will guess, there's no money coming in. So I'm wo
I'm so glad to asked that question. I know how important it is to have email list and the need for a email service. Getting emails is the challenge.
If this helps, you absolutely need to build a list, because then you can monetise your list and that is where your income comes from.
Couple of different ways of doing this.
You need to have an autoresponder service, such as AWeber, MailChimp or Mailpoet, as Marion says below. That houses your list of subscribers, who get on your list through a landing page
On my davehayes.co blog here on my profile, I have a subscriber box, which invites people to subscribe.
Then choose affiliate ventures which are relevant to what you are promoting, but ideally you want to be getting people on to the list ,by offering something for free
The second way is to be a membership site owner.
Now WA is a membership site in its own right and we are all members and business owners of that, and earn money from promoting WA
In terms of autoresponders, my own preference is this
I use AWeber on one of my sites and MailPoet on another
Mailchimp is ok, but they keep changing things around and making it more difficult to use
I really appreciate your response Dave, it helps a great deal. I already have Aweber so I will work with that.
I have followed Marion's training and it is leading where I want to go so that's a huge, huge plus.
Thank you very much
Russell
Here's an old tutorial of mine. You may want to use MailPoet or MailChimp instead of the one I used to use. How to Create Your List for Free
Hi Russel, the list gives you a better chance of making a sale, but in reality, money is in the amount of quality content that you provide. Because at some point, if you have provided enough value, you will start getting good rankings and then comes the traffic, which is crucial. Without traffic, you can't build a list... so money can't be on an empty or list. You need good traffic coming, so that you keep growing that list. Until you start attracting a good audience, you will waste money because an autoresponder has a membership fee.
Yes. MailPoet has some great features and it's free for (I think) the first 2,000 subscribers.
Thank you for your response Stefan. I am also working on creating great content, so when the two are combined, then the fireworks can beging to go off.
So far so good Marion. I have found items to give away. Just making sure I understand the policy before I do anything. I will keep you posted.
I forgot there are free alternatives, sorry about that. In that case, there is nothing to lose and I think you should go for it!
However, I still hold the opinion that if you are struggling to make your first sale, it's mainly because of low traffic, and adding an email list won't make much difference at this point. I can be wrong, but that's how I see it in the big scheme of things. If the list was so important to make your first sale, WA's training would certainly have a dedicated lesson in the certification or Bootcamp course IMO.

Hey guys. I just deleted a blog post on WA unintentionally. Is there a way I can recover it?
Hi Friends,
Thanks to all of you who so promptly offered their help. I was able to recover my post, not through site support or retreval from trash.
It turned out that I had another page opened with the same post. I went into my brousing history and was able to recover it from there.
The disappointing part is that I lost all the previous comments and likes from those who had visited before. Sorry guys.
So the post is up and edited and you can take a look at it if you feel so inclined.
You can find it here: Then and now... Blessings to you all.
Russell
Wonderful, Russell! Alas, your comments are gone!! Is there a way to recover them???
God bless you!
Happy New Year to you and your love ones!
Aloha, Jenna
No you didn't do anything wrong Jenna. There were five persons who commented before I edited, they are the ones whose comments and likes I have lost.
But at least 2 of them contacted me since and let me know that it was ok, so I feel good about that.
Thank you for your support.
Russell
My pleasure, Russell!
I see! Wonderful, you got feedback from two of the "lost" guys!
The digital stuff is sometimes tricky ...
Aloha, Jenna
Aloha is the Hawaiian greeting. You can use it for hi and bye.
But also it means love.
If somebody greets you with aloha, you can respond Aloha back to you.
I cannot say and write aloha often enough. You maybe noticed it :-) It is such a powerful word!!!
It is very wise of Hawaiian to use it as a greeting :-)
Aloha to you, Russell!
Jenna
Mahalo means thank you!
I don't speak Hawaiian yet. Know only few words. But I want to learn it.
Hawaiian operates with very little words I read. This is wise.
Will see. :-)
Aloha to you, Russell!
Jenna
Yes, if you didn't empty your trash. Log onto your site dashboard and go to Posts. You should see a link for Trash. Click it and you'll see your deleted post. Simply untrash/publish it.
That may work for his wordpress site, but by his question, I think he's asking about his blog on WA itself. Maybe I'm wrong though.
Ahh good catch...My bad, I'm playing catch-up on my sites and just assumed. I am unaware of a way to resurrect a WA post that has been deleted. SleeperF's suggestion of reaching out to Site Support is the best option here.
I would contact Site Support, and see if they can recover it.

Thanks for your attempt at helping our guys. Late this evening everything went back to normal and its working fine now. Your effort is greatly appreciated though.
Hey Russell,
Because it might be a browser compatibility issue, I would try using a different browser to see if this still happens. Hopefully it won't.
Hope this helps you.
Apologies I have yet to introduce myself to Pininterest. Hope there will be others here with some experience of this. Why not post the question in W.A. help/support forums?

Hey Russell,
When you delete a plugin all of the settings and information you entered into it will be gone. There is no means of easily transferring information from one plugin to another.
Though, you could keep information (like Google Analytics tracking ID in All in One SEO plugin) to use in a competitor's plugin.
Hope this helps you.
If this plugin helps you build your list, then any data stored within it should be transferable and it should have a clear method of transfer. If it is not a list builder, then it will only contain data to make it functional. Check for a data transfer plugin among the plugin library, extract the data you need from this plugin and replace it if you want to. Otherwise, this plugin is trying to scam you.
GDPR compliance has been covered fairly well in a lesson by Jay in the online training. I'll see if I could find the link and send it to you.
Unfortunately, it sounds like no. That is just the plug-in's way of trying to keep you as a customer. I'm not sure what kind of 'data' it would be storying anyway, not enough details without knowing which plug-in we're talking about.
It is the plugin I used for GDPR compliance. It was preventing my visitors from posting their comments immediately. Some complained that they were constantly being told that they were commenting too quickly.
Well, if it is fo GDPR compliance, I certainly wouldn't remove it. That is serious stuff these days.
