By now, you who follow me know that I get really excited when Friday comes around.

It's the day before the Sabbath and I look forward to that 24 hours of rest from secular stuff and work while I engage in deep spiritual renewal like you get on no other day of the week.

Thankful

From Sunday to today it has been a great week. I continue to witness the hand of God in my life and His great provision for me. Glory to His name.

There is the financial blessing that I told you all of earlier in the week. As a result of that I was able to go yearly here at WA.

It has also helped ease the strain on my wife who has been carrying that burden for the past year. She can relax a bit now, even though I see no sign of here doing so immediately.

We have had a good week together and for that I am thankful, cause her responsibilities often call for her frequent absence from home. God is good.

I was also able to get some issues sorted out here, latest of which was getting my site verified so that I could use sitemap.

Thank you to all you wonderful people who helped in one way or another to make it all possible.

Sad news

I got a bit of sad news a few hours ago. My eldest brother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

All I know for now is that it's a form of bone cancer. He has been complaining about back pains for some time now and finally decided to go to the doctor.

Though the news is sad I am not depressed or anything like that for I know that the God who has preserved him through the past years will continue to do so according to His will.

So I've prayed and left that in God's hands. His will be done.

Ready for the Sabbath

So all my preparations are done and I'm sharing this quick post with you before I sign off until tomorrow night, God's willing. I am ready for the Sabbath.

May God's peace attend you throughout the day ahead and His hand be over you to keep you from evil and harm.

Blessings to all and a Happy Sabbath to anyone here that remembers to keep it holy.

Grace and peace be unto you.

Russell

I just love reading your Sabbath blogs Russell, they are so uplifting and they help me to keep my week in perspective also. I'm so glad you were able to go yearly and things are going well for you here at WA. I am also so sorry to hear about your brother and I will be adding him to my prayer list. Thanx for the blessings. God bless you as well!

Glad you enjoy them Sue. I visited my brother today. He is in good spirits, thank God. He has to do a bone biopsy on Monday and we are praying for the best.
I had a lovely day with the brethren today, discussing God's work with the early Christian church. It was eye opening. We serve an awesome and merciful God.
Thank you for the blessings and all the best for the week ahead.

Blessings for your brother...

Thank you very much.

Thank you for sharing, Russell. I admire your dedication to the Sabbath! I have begun to follow your lead and make my Sabbath day one where I do not do work related things. It has been hard with Wealthy Affiliate, because I love it so much it doesn't feel like I am working.

Have a wonderful Sabbath day!

Best wishes,
Karin

Glad you have taken that decision Karin. You can't lose. I return each week with added vigor for the journey. Be blessed.

WA is a way station on a great eternal path Russell

I love that thought! Wow! Yeah! I love it!
